You gotta understand that FSD or ANY automated system is only as good as the tires. I'm in the Midwest and there's absolutely no reason to run on anything other than all season tires. You're not, if you got any sense, going to get anywhere near the top speed of the car and you don't need the extra 3% of performance a summer tire is going to give you over an all season tire. I mean, it's December so why wouldn't you be on a all season tire?

You are 100% right, I’ve been trying to figure out wether to get a second set or just get 21” all seasons since I was planning on doing the track package and the weather change just snuck up on me.

@elgapitan It's all good. Other than track days the performance all season tires are excellent for DD duties.

FSD will not be ready until Tesla assumes all liability for its behavior and consequences. Give it another 5-10 years.

I am kind of like you far as really needing or using FSD. To me it is not a necessity and to pay that extra cost. I am retired, only daily drive my Model Y around town, and also do my charging only at home. I have tried the FSD 30 day free trial 1.5.6, found it interesting, but it did do some weird moves while just driving to a few places I do daily - this was doing summer driving. I feel more comfortable driving my vehicle myself. Also we are using FSD among too many human drivers that are very impatient and in a hurry to go nowhere attitudes. I have nothing against FSD, I just don't need it. We still have to watch what the vehicle is always doing, so I might as well drive the vehicle myself. Just my opinion.
