Have been a beta tester for over 2 years. The main advantage of fsd other than lowering fatigue is that it is seeing all around you 360 deg all the time. When making a lane change use the blinker and it will change the lanes when clear with your head pointed forward, great if having a cramped neck muscle, or bad back. It will change lanes at intersections but dont let that scare you as it has better situational awareness. It will move over slightly for motor cycles coming behind you splitting lanes. You wont know it until the bike passes you. Watch for curb rash, and bike lane crossing marks if negotiating to a individual turn lane. Sometimes is slow over rr tracks but slight push of the pedal does the trick. You can still report issues as a supervisor. Many parts of FSD makes it safer to drive and more enjoyable once you are use to it.

You paint a very rosy picture of FSD that is misleading. FSD has been in beta testing for almost 4 years, and even today it is a barely Level 2 driving assistant. Full Autonomy is Level 4 or 5, and that is years away. The latest version of FSD still needs lots of human interventions, and 100 percent human supervision at all times. FSD cannot handle many common obvious things that any high school kid could handle. Be careful with FSD, don't put too much trust in it.

@@DerekDavis213 I can tell you have not driven it yet. As indicated in my post you are still a supervisor of the drive. Nothing posted is at all misleading. Go give it a try by test driving one from a Tesla center.

@@DerekDavis213 Nothing misleading. As indicated you have to supervise the drive. Pilots in a commercial plane have to do the same. Go out and test one at a Tesla center while FSD free is available if you can. It also will not tolerate holding a cell phone and texting. After 5 strikes FSD will be disabled for weeks for many reasons. Over 85 Mph, trying to text, not engaging the wheel. It is nothing capable of full situational awareness in all circumstances if that is what you mean. Am not sure level 5 would be either.

@@skywave12 Who wants to 'supervise' a simple minded driving assistant that could make a critical mistake at any moment? The training and supervising should be done by Tesla employees, in Tesla company cars. If you let FSD drive your car and the car is damaged (a scratched wheel for example), Tesla will not compensate you. Not a dime.

@@skywave12 Please, oh *please* don't compare FSD vs an autopilot in an airplane at 35,000 feet. Totally different situations! FSD does not have situational awareness in ANY situation that it hasn't been trained on. A human driver, with advanced brain and eyes designed by God, can instantly adapt to strange or unfamiliar situations. FSD will never be capable of that. A human can think and reason. FSD just collects tons of data and looks for patterns.
