Tesla Model S Air Suspension Issues: Diagnose and Fix Step-by-Ste

Hi there, can you comment on my problem? Late 2012 S - I came home last week and the compressor kept running after I parked in my driveway (I have the car go to very high at home since it is lowered). I had to pull the relay to get it to stop. This weekend I pulled the frunk tub and sprayed all the air connections with soapy water and could not get it to show a leak. We disconnected the hoses at the T connection, trimmed them, and reset them as often this is the source of leaks. I then put 80 lbs of nitrogen into the tank and changed the wheel size in settings to reset the SAS. everything is working OK, but I keep checking the tank pressure and when i got home today it was 70, but an hour later it was zero. This has happened twice now. The car stays high, but indicated tank pressure is zero after an hour. What do you think is the cause? Efcaristo.

Wait, so I can understand correct you have a leak but you cannot find where? If you’re leaking in one hour that’s a bigone .. so maybe you need to check the tank or any sensor to connecting on the tank I think they have some valves around and also maybe the pump themselve.? Another thing I’m thinking maybe the sensor of the pressure?

@@Thegreekdoctor75 I couldn't find a leak at all, but somehow tank pressure drops from 60-75 to zero in an hour. That means there is a leak, right? We sprayed soapy water on all lines and could not find bubbles anywhere, so not sure of the cause. If the car is not lowering, does that mean the leak is somewhere between the distribution block-pump-tank? I don't get any error codes, which is weird.

@ that’s a very good question. I’m not 100% sure because they change the models all the time and they upgrade the systems. The good thing is because it’s not falling. It’s not one of your socks so if you see on the video when I remove the plastic thing on the trunk, it is one place all the lines connecting look like a spider over there. Maybe you need to spray with soap with water. Maybe you find the leak

Thanks! I have a 2015 P85D, I raised the suspension at highest and leave it in the garage. 2 days later, the left side is lower, and lower. If I get in the car and start it, the pump starts to work and all 4 wheels are highest again. What do you think? Tesla quoted me 3000 for one 2 wheels, since they only repairs them in pairs. Is this something I can fix? It seems like I have a leak on some of the pipes, is that going from distributor to the wheels? But then why is the car NOT adjusting that when it senses lower? It only does when I want to drive the car, normal? Please advise. Many thanks!

Hellas! I’m having a similar issue with my 2016 model X. If I put it on high mode and leave it rest for two hours it sinks down in the front on both sides to the level of the low mode, which I normally always use. However, when I switch on the car, I’m getting the error code TAS_a240_airSpringLeak. Since I only recognised this error code after I’ve switched to winter tires, I’ll check the level sensor mechanism and see whether one was off.

@@fillershopde1346 mine never have the code and it went straight to the bottom. I think yours have a leak somewhere probably the front air bags it’s usually one of them if you see it especially falling for the one side.
