Hi, I am also from the UK and have just ordered a second C-HR new this time because I am so pleased with it, I can't understand how these reviewa in America only achieve 30mpg, I drive in ECO Mode all the time and driven smoothly I easily achieve 60+mpg driven at 50 to 60mph. I have bought Toyota cars over 40 years and never had a breakdown, so although the car may seem expensive the quality of the car and reliability pays for itself.

@@tails300yeah, that works like as CVT with MG1 and MG2's regeneration and reverse or forward powering balance control. example, start engine while driving, regeneration MG1 for provide to power to engine. start shock is controlled by MG2 powering. other case, when hispeed cruising with low power, MG1 is powering to backward. Output rotation speed is engine speed plus MG1 speed. power balamce is controlling with MG2 regeneration. middle acceleration, MG1 is generation, MG2 is powering. engine speed is controlled by MG1's generation load. MG1's power is supply to MG2, battery, A/C, and 12V system via DC-DC Converter.

when only electric drive, only using MG2. MG1 is free rotating to backward or forward(this direction is reverse as MG2.). when backward drive, only MG2's power is available to drive. when running engine, maximum backward power and speed is maybe affected by engine power.(this limitation is no need to worry when normal drive.) (4th Gen Prius's PHV and later PHV model has one-way clutch at power-splitting system. this clutch make can supply MG1's power to wheel when electric-only driving.)

If I could afford a new car, this would be my next one. I love the overall style of the car and It's a decent drive. People knock it down because of it's lack of power and non existent 4 wheel drive...but it seems like a reliable vehicle, which I will take over power any day.
Lack of power? It has 184ps.... 0-100 to 8.2 seconds, all the while it is very economical in fuel and very reliable. It is a decent crossover. The vast majority of people do not need more acceleration or AWD. It is just marketing.
@matthewhartman7176 Жыл бұрын
@Χρήστος Δενέχεισημασία Exactly. This "lack of power" comment that you hear constantly from the tuner and online reviewer community is just a bunch of nerds and tech heads making noise. Well, these people aren't the general buyer. For 90% of people, this car would not be considered "slow". Speed is metric, meaning 0-60, but speed is also relative to how each person experiences speed with their 5 senses. Professional drivers train their body to make fast feel slow so that they have more confidence on the track. 99.99999999% of people drive on the street daily commuting, not reducing their lap times, nor being around so many different cars (reviewers) they build up hatred and exaggerations for them all. Whenever I hear someone say, "yeah but the CHR is slow" I just tell them to go test drive one and make their judgment. What might be "slow" to one person could be "fast" to another. Again, speed is both empirical and relative. As a person who used to street race big block muscle cars back in the day, the CHR IS NOT this. But the CHR IS NOT the Geo Metro everyone too nerdy for their practical good tells you it is. That's just seriously disingenuous to say the least.

1. No AWD 2. Trash attack angle (if FWD then most will try to get some momentum to get over a hard section but with this car without and oil pan damaged you can't go anywhere offroad) 3. No overall space in the back (for claustrophobic people it is so bad that they feel like in a tiny box without windows and big doors, this car is meant for max 2 people, like a coupe) 4. Hard to find second hand 2.0 version, only 1.8 which is trash (11 seconds 0-100) 5. Cheap and low quality interior parts (the navi is so laggy that it almost can't be used) 6. Worst hybrid system (it doesn't even have EV only mode range, only downhill max 2 km)

- weil teiweise elektro.. Was ist passiert?
@daniel_gl2 жыл бұрын
