Love it when you test air brushes. My 1st AB almost 20 years ago, was the Badger 200, a single action, siphon air brush. Used ut exclusively for 15ys, bought a small diameter a 2mm. Love it, i could lay done fine lines by getting in close. But then i started watching your channel, jumped to cheap double action, then Gaalheria Ghad-68 and then your swallowtail. Love all my air brushes even that old Badger. By the way ive head Gaalheria has some great prices coming up on Amazon an Oct 8th. BR have heard anything? Congrats on the 100k milestone by the way.

The Iwata shorties are 0.3mm and 0.4mm, but they make a full-size single action Revolution with a 0.5mm needle and nozzle (I think; it’s just labeled R5). The only downside side is that is it siphon feed instead of gravity feed, but small inconvenience if you’re using a lot of paint. Caps that fit right onto a paint bottle are pretty handy.

After watching one of your video's a year or two ago, I purchased the Mr. Hobby GSI Creos single action airbrush. I am really disappointed in it after using the airbrush a few times. The airbrush is so small and lightweight, that I cannot find a good way to hold it when using the airbrush. The splattering of the paint, when first spraying, is another issue. To me it is just a toy, save your money and get a real airbrush. I have, for many years, a Badger 350 - singe action, external mix airbrush - and it is so much better for me, than the Mr. Hobby airbrush. Of course, like many hobbyist's, I have many airbrush's and the Mr. Hobby single action is one I rarely use.

With decent Double Action brushes now in the 'under $20' category, I can see no reason for a $60 single action... and with really good Double Actions in the $60 to $80 category, it again makes no sense to me. In the old days, you went Single Action because it was less costly, and for non-precision work it was acceptable trade-off to save money. That reason no longer exists.
