Thanks for sharing your results with your 362! It's all about what matches your barrel. You mentioned feeding issues. You may need a small rubber washer or two under your breech screw. If the breech screw head is not near flush and you have a deep hole with an edge which is catching the pellets. It may be nicking the pellets causing damage and inaccuracy issues! A well know Crosman steel breech issue when experiencing loading issues, check it with a cotton swab. Maybe this is an issue?

I’ve got a Torx head breech screw with a Gravmag plastic washer underneath. I tired two washers earlier this winter and the bolt wouldn’t close. The washer is really thin so I don’t think there is much to be gained there. Now that I’m thinking about it, some of the pellets were catching on something past the breech screw. The rounder the nose the smoother they fed. I’d use my finger to help ease the other pellet types into the chamber but definitely not smooth feeding like the plastic breech. I now wondering if the breech end of the barrel needs to be chamfered? I don’t know that I want to mess around with that?

@@airgunsofalaska are you sure the lower side of the pellet head isn't catching like it did on my breech screw hole. I lightly slid a cotton swab across it. The cotton fibers were pulled on and loose!

@@gmanneod8085 I’ll double check 👍. I’ve been dealing with the issue since last fall and once I installed one Gravmag washer and the Torx screw it helped things significantly. But, I’ve not really investigated it since. Guys have mentioned placing a drop of wax on the breech screw and I’ve not tried that. I’m reluctant to do it as I didn’t want to deal with a wax mess if I need to remove or tighten the breech screw.
@gmanneod8085 Жыл бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska You can try silicone caulk. Its less messy and you don't need heat to remove it, just a small needle nose.

Through a number of my different guns they’ve preformed really well. I like how stout their skirts are, they don’t get deformed in the tin like most of the other brands. I received a bunch of different pellets for Christmas so I don’t know what the RWS pellets cost? I’ll need to check Amazon.

Thanks! This is an easy type of video to film and edit if I don’t include me shooting all 50 shots at the targets. I always fast forward or skip that part when other guys do it as I just want to know the results. I can do more videos this way but hopefully the majority of my viewers are good with me filming in this manner? It’s just a ton more filming and time to show the gun punching holes in paper. I’m thinking this type of testing video only really appeals to a small but very technical and enthusiastic segment of airgunners?

Mines pellet picky also, I'll pick up a new assortment and chime in if I find anything promising.

I’m thinking of checking Amazon for different pellet assortment packs. I’m bummed the Crosman Premiers did so bad as I’ve got tons of HP’s and domed Crosman pellets. Not sure why the Piranhas did significantly better?

@@airgunsofalaska Yeah it's mind boggling their own ammo is so bad lol. I want to try some Norma pellets, and I've seen a video where Hatsan was shooting pretty good out of a 1322 also , so worth a shot I guess.

I just tested some RWS Super H points and Super point extras, they both shot really well at 30 feet. almost stacked on top of each other.
@jskyg68 Жыл бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska I tested Rws super domes also, they also shoot well out of my 362. I have some Gamo's (I meant to say Gamo in my above comment not Hatsan) problem is they were a sample pack of alloy and other oddball designs so I'm not sure they are worth looking into considering the prices.

Have u tried cleaning and lubing them? Amazing all the crap left in a empty tin. All the lead chips from the manufacturing process that end up in the barrel. Seems the pellet lube does help keeping it cleaner too.

I cleaned it last fall really well and didn’t shoot it much over the winter. I thought the gun was doing pretty well.

It's probably a no brainer to guys on this channel but it's seeming to me that pneumatics handle heavies much better than spring or nitros. Even pumpers which are technically less powerful can push heavies just fine that my break barrels can't. I'm guessing it has something to do with break barrels producing higher PSI which generates more speed and so more FPE, but pumpers have more volume of air, which can push heavier pellets, producing more momentum.

I have a hard time loading pellet into my 362 w/steel breech with a bug buster scope. Is there an easy way ?
@airgunsofalaska6 ай бұрын
@@bimo5461 I’m thinking you might try taller scope rings to provide yourself more space between the breech and the scope. Also, pellets tend to get hung up on the tiny breech screw in front of the probe. Some guys will put a drop of wax or hot glue over the screw to smooth it over.

@@airgunsofalaska Thank you for responding to my question so quickly. Taller scope rings sound like a good first step.

@@airgunsofalaska I did very similar testing as you and struggled. Terminators at 30 yards max is what I settled on. At 20 yards shoots dimes consistently and is devastating on rodents.

@@precisionrodentcontrol_PRC I was checking them out and Crosman Destroyers must be a copy of their design. I’ve had some guns shoot well with Destroyers and not so well in others.
