Seems to me most people in the industry don't have an appreciation for regional differences. This job was done in the hottest part of a tx summer. Warm season grasses are completely different then cool season. Nothing in that yard is lush enough to stick. Worst that will happen is a thin layer of dust.

Jobs like these I get amped up to do because by myself it would take me about 5 hours with a self propelled 21 inch Honda mower to bag the excess grass and double cut. Make close to $400-$500 on a yard like that. I tell the homeowners if they care about the appearance of the yard so I tell them I can make it look neat, grass bagged and get it looking like it was never overgrown and they tell me go for it. The end result is so satisfying. The majority of the people I do jobs like this for always ask for weekly service when they see my performance. Keep hustling and doing work sir. One day I will get to your level equipment wise.

That mower is a powerful son of a gun. I've got a 42" Craftsman that I know would never go through it like yours just did. I do like the fact that this is the 21st year I've had it. No problems except for belt replacement and one set of tires. I cut 4 lawns every week for 17 years, and they were sitting on 80x183' lots. Now I only cut mine as the customers died on me. Maybe I got lucky, but it's the best mower I ever bought during the last 60 years.

Well where I live in Phoenix kinda the same weather in Texas. Your lawn and yard could be good. We get a rain and in a matter of a few days the yard can look like that. The weeds explode and get super tall super fast. And if you work some times you cant get to it the second it happens and also if the ground is still to wet you cant mow. So by the time the yard drys a bit it can get bad fast. My yard has gone from amazing looking to over 4feet in less then a week after it rained. And had to wait till the weekend to let yard dry a bit and to have the time to mow it again. It's not always because the person dosent care.

This is so satisfying. Me and my boyfriend just inherited his dads house and his other brother lived at the house for 2 years and he just moved out and we moved in and our yard is a lot worse than this and it’s very hilly and steep inclines and we are in the woods so there’s tons of trees. There’s a ton of stuff in the yard like cars and and equipment that we have to move but can’t get rid of it until everything is settled. But we have been racking our brains to try and figure out the landscaping we can do and what the easiest way of doing all this would be. I would do anything to have a flat yard at this point😩lol. But I wish u would have done a after shot of the yard. I always like to see the before and after at the end so u can really see the difference. But it still was an awesome video👍

There are a lot of reasons why people don't maintain the yard. Money is number 1, landscaping is very expensive and a lot of people can't afford it. For people on a fixed income, they just don't have the money, or they have to choose between food, electricity, rent, etc. or taking care of their yard. Their age and health, they can't do the work. If the people in the house are renters, they don't have to do anything with the house, it's the landlord's responsibility to maintain the yard. If they own it since they are young they could all do it, but they probably just don't give a crap. There are volunteers and volunteer organizations that can help, but a lot of people don't know how to use these services or are too embarrassed to ask for help.
@mikenotta70795 жыл бұрын
@@TexasVeteranLawnService Better read your lease/rent agreements. Sometimes the landlord will take care of it to make sure it happens, and other times they stipulate that it is up to the occupants to maintain the yard.

I'm in California. The place I rented before I moved to where I am now, I lived there 20 years. The lease only said that I had to do a small amount of watering. Then a couple of years before I moved out, the landlord suddenly said that because she wasn't physically able to do a lot of yard work anymore, that me and the other tenant would now have to do a lot of yard work. She NEVER updated the lease to enforce this so she must have changed her mind because we never had to. There is no way that I would have done it even if it was added to the lease because she was a psycho landlord and did things she wasn't supposed to do and the unit I rented was an illegal unit.
