People keep saying why choose this over a BMW or Audi, I'll tell you why, to be an individual not a drone in a soulless german squaremobil. This car has passion and I know about sports car being the owner of a Maserati QP GTS. The Infiniti has passion, the German cars are just clinical engineering. I tried the BMW and the Audi they have as much charm as a calculator, the g370 shows you make your own decisions and are not bullied into conforming yourself into a german car through lack of self confidence.

I like both car makers japaneese and german. Truth is that no japaneese car will ever feel as firm and rigid as the german car, BUT the german car will never be as reliable as a japaneese car. I've had audi's vw's bmw's they are all full of problems. Lexus, Honda, Infiniti, Nissan... Well never had problems with them apart from small silly stuff.

well......car dude got it WRONG. There is more ROOM in the trunk, but dipstick wouldn't know it. There is a hidden compartment under a floor panel that is much larger that the little compartment car spud showed us. That is the "Downside" to car reviews by dorks.

When doing a 0-60 test in an auto, surely you would hold down the brake pedal, build the revs, then release the brake and floor it? Especially with the VVEL it would be in a lean mode initially while sitting there idling.

I've never been a convertible fan either. What happens during side impact crashes (I know they have airbags, but I doubt that they're as effective)? Also, the structure of the car is weaker.

As much as I like the looks of this vehicle. Infiniti needs to step their game up by adding more horsepower to compete with its competitors. I own the sedan version of this car, and I had to supercharge it to give it the power I think it needs.

People miss the point of this car. It is a drop top first and a performance car second. As for performance, the G37 and now Q60 are more about balanced performance then just 0-60 times. If all you consider when buying a car is 0-60, buy a Hemi powered Dodge. The Infiniti has a nice balance of usable power, great handling and great brakes. All three must balance with each other in a truly great performance car. Also, some cars may be a little slower at 0-60, but from, say, 50 - 100 be actually quicker then cars that can best them in a 0-60 romp.

I never tested my 2014 Q60S, but I find that with it's manual transmission, the automatic ones are faster from 0 - 60, but in a quick passing situation, my 6 speed manual is a LOT quicker. I'm told my 2014 with a manual is a fairly rare bird.

I am now curious what my six speed manual Q60S could do 0-60 in. In other reviews of the 2014 Q60S, I have seen 0-60 in just over 5 seconds. But that was for a hard top.

I like the way the current model looks but I dont really care to much about the IPL series right about now, I mean its a great car and even though its not as a fast as its competitors , IPL is a premature high performance series, so I dont blame them. This is Infiniti after all, they soley revolve around producing luxury performance cars so I would say IPL is going to be a huge competitor by 2014. Infiniti has already confirmed a 550 HP turbochargred V6 enigne. They will surely rise to the top.

great launch Roman. my mom owns a G35 sedan in Longmont, CO. I thought it was slow in Colorado, compared to my '97 Eclipse GS-T in Texas... then I brought it down to Austin. Much more of a difference in torque response.

It only takes one great engine to filter down into all thier other Infiniti products. Nissan already has the perfect recipe for a high performance car.... its the Nissan GTR. Infiniti doesnt need to wait 30 years. With Mercedes Benz & Infiniti now partners AMG will also be included into Nissan DNA. With the new lineup coming up, the IPL Q60 coupe has been confirmed to recieve a twin turbo 530 + HP V6 engine inspired by the GTR. This is right around the corner.

Lexus also has this problem with F Sport with their models. F Sport seems merely cosmetic, and doesn't add any performance to its top of the line engines and what not. Roman, I agree with you about what IPL should be for Infiniti.

Who will drive this car for a trip with up to 4 people? Sport car with convertible are usually less trunk space. Because it was design to drive for fun, not travel. If you really like to travel, it is stupid to drive a sport car with hard suspension. What do you think the SUV for? I am a G37 owner and I only drive it for fun. if you wanna travel, I more recommend Q7, ML. :)

A G37 does not compete with an E-class Merc. The G-series competes with the smaller C-class. That would be saying that the E-class competed with the Lexus IS-350. Also, I test drove the BMW 335i convertible and there's no room to put a human behind the driver either. One more thing, give Infiniti 30 years of development like M, AMG and the RS divisions. You'll see something much more competitive...

This can do 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. The only problem is, it needs the right person driving it. This idiot doesn't know how to drive so it ends up making this car look like a slug when it's actually really quick, especially for a convertible.

You are a dumbass. This convertible is heavier than normal g37s. 6.1secs is good. 6speed manual will do 5.4-5.9secs depend on driver and some engines have more power or less. They are not all identical

I Would still get a European Volvo C70 T5 ( 2.5L 240HP with the Inscription model ) Even if it doesn't have that much Horsepower but it's more comfortable it has more room in the trunk even with the hard top down !! And a little more room in the back seats !! :) But still a great car :)

does not look as good, the hard top is heavy as hell (400 pounds is ALOT) and plus the top is down, that slows down the car a considerable amount as well. the g37 brutally molests your shitty ass charger

I have a 2014 Q60 Convertible. Here are somethings I don't like about the car. 1. If you forget a tissue box or anything even small in your trunk (forgetfully) and try to put to convertible mode, the hard top crushes the item, and inturn the rear glass crumbles. It doesnt have any sensors to warn you. The glass goes into pieces. For a $50k+ car, this is a bad design 2. The rear camera is pathetic. I have driven Honda Accord, and the camera there is like HD (day or night). In Infiniti, the rear camera is so bad. In light, it glares so much you cant see and in night you can forget it. 3. The seat design even for driver or front seat passenger is so bad. Having used Benz C Class and Mazda Protege, Honda Civic and Accord, this is the worst seat anyone can get.... So, you can ask me, why i bought this. I wanted a 4 seater convertible with good power (300+ Horse Power), and this became mine.

I really don't know what that person was talking about. There is a sensor that tells you to check the latch separator that keeps stuff in the trunk out of the way otherwise the top won't just drop. Lol smh.
