Real talk. I went into the welding trade and the most I made was 40k a year in my area. Went to a warehouse and make 35k for much less work. Currently in school for web dev paid by the warehouse corp I work for. For my future qualifications as an entry level employee in my area I’d make around 65-80k. How in the world can anyone afford anything? There is no middle class anymore for anyone under 30 years old just rich and poor. Now there are ways to succeed, of course! Twin turbo V6s are way more complex than 4 cylinder turbo trucks. The 2.3 is the better choice for longevity. TT V6 is great for more power but youve got two turbos, intakes, header exhausts, cams, heads, and more that can go wrong
@layne4376Ай бұрын
Absolute bunk and 100% unprovable. You could also speculate that the V6 is rarely in boost and is far less stressed with two turbos as opposed to having a small 4 cylinder which is always in boost trying to move this heavy truck. The V6 3.0L has fully forged internals.

It's amazing how cramped the cabs are in these mid-size pickups whereas my compact Maverick has a bigger and more airy cabin than any of the mid-sizers. However, the back seat is a little on the tight side since it's not a well padded bench but there's plenty of headroom and some knee room. It's definitely more tolerable than a Ranger or Tacoma. I recently test drove a new Ranger XLT with the Sport package and was genuinely unimpressed with it. The ride was very bouncy/jittery, the cab made you feel claustrophobic, the hood is longer than in the Maverick so it cuts into more visibility, the windows are narrow, and the screen is hard to look at since it's not angled towards the driver and the fact it's vertically oriented. A horizontal one would've been the way to go. It's easier to look at and blends in better with the dash. Plus, you don't have to look down at most controls. One good thing I'll say is the 2.3L is a very peppy engine. Plenty of get up and go but everything else disappointed me big time. I wonder if that'll change if I were to test drive the Raptor since it has an even bigger 3.0L twin turbo, has the 10-speed, and has the upgraded shocks and tires. Since all the Raptors drive comfortably, my opinion would more than likely change but that's if I can get my hands on one. If not, oh well. The Maverick is a much more tolerable, comfortable, and more affordable daily driver. Hence one of the many reasons I chose it over the Ranger.
@onlineautomotivebuilderrev51845 ай бұрын
Totally agree interior of maverick is better but the maverick is very comparable to a smaller version of a Ridgeline. Maverick is based off the ford bronco sport and escape so it has alot of similar features like tank size, range, mpg, front space for driver and passenger, instead of having a trunk you get a 4.5 ft bed. So Your comparison to the ranger can be viewed the same way with the SUV counterparts. Seems your more in the SUV market than pickups. The escape can tow 500 lbs less than the maverick so it's worth thinking about, but I'm sure you have a maverick because you want a "pick up truck". The pricing of the maverick and escape is very comparable too.

I am shortlisting this car for my next pick. Here in Greece Rangers are very common and famous trucks. But competition to Jeep 4xe and F150 is high, so i don't know what would be the better choice. There are only a handful of imported F150s in Greece once they don't comply to EU CO2 emission policy, I don't know also whether to hold a Ranger Raptor than an F150 is more affordable as a daily, sure the F150 is bigger for a 4 member family, as i can tell Ranger is not rommie enough, but on the other hand it is a big deal in Greece the Jeep 4xe. Not only it is a hybrid but as an iconic offroader it doesn't lacks at anything to those Fords. The question is how responsive that Jeep is on the road. Brand new Ranger Raptor coasts 72.000€ , F150 Raptor 100.000€ and 4xe 95.000€ in Greece. What would you advise in my occasion, for a family guy who would use those things as daily cars, mainly, having at tops 4 off-road trips per year ? I usually ride for 13miles per day.
