I wanted the mule SX but it was too wide for the occasional trail rides on the 50"MAX width trails we like to ride, we bought a Pioneer 500, 50" wide, made by HONDA and NO BELT I love the manual/auto trans option and the paddle shifters which also sort of force you keep your hands at 10 and 2 positions LOL. With the added front locking diff the P500 is an unstoppable tiny tank.

My CFMoto has been a great machine. For the price, performance, reliability and standard options that do not come on the name brand machines, I would absolutely turn to CFMoto again for future machines.

Why not include KYMCO? The Prowler 500 you listed is actually the KYMCO UXV 450 and is $500 less from KYMCO. They also have a larger UXV 500 for $8299 and a 700 for $8999. KYMCO builds every Arctic Cat/Textron ATV from 50cc-450cc, the Prowler 500 and one if their 700cc engines. They also build the Kawasaki KFX 50, KFX 90, and Bruitforce 300. They build engines for BMW, including the extended range motor for the BMW I3 car. They are not an off brand. They probably have more ATV dealers than Textron/Arctic Cat.

well..... for starters, for about 10 percent more you can get the Honda Pioneer. Why in the hell anybody with any kind of sense would not just spend the extra $1000 and get the Honda over a Chinese brand, is beyond me. Im not against Chinese brands but lately there prices have gone from 50% lower to only 10% lower. NOT WORTH IT. I have seen to many other inferior Chinese products. The Honda...... always a winner since the original ATC.

I've been looking at side by sides for my farm. What I have noticed at the dealerships I've been to, is exactly what I see here in these comments. People have many different uses for them. I actually want a UTV for helping do work and not something like a Rzr or General for trail riding. One Polaris dealer I went to, the sales guy just couldn't understand why I didn't want a machine to trail ride on for fun. Sorry man...that stuff just don't interest me. What interests me is if I can fit my chain saw, gas container, tools, and wood in the back bed of it. Is it going to be dependable or a POS that lets me down when I need it most. I'd pick one machine and he'd try to counter it with something like "well that one only tops out at 45 mph...this one over here is faster". Well yeah...that one don't even have a dump bed on it and not even what I've told you I'm in the market for. Needless to say I had $12k and was ready to buy that day, and he ticked me off so bad I just left. How do the Kubota's rank in comparison to these? The 400 and 500 size of those are in the same ball park price as these....and the accessories are cheaper. The Kubota dealer I went to, priced me a 500 series with a roof, front and back wind shields, for $10,200 out the door. The Polaris dealer wanted that for a 570 Ranger without any accessories.

Good stuff. The only other brand I would include on the list would be Kymco, and that's because they actually have what you could call a dealership network, unlike the vast majority of the knockoffs, maybe CF Moto excluded (and they also build ATVs for both Textron/Arctic Cat and Kawasaki, but that's for another day!). They have their UXV 450 for $7999 MSRP but usually advertised in the $7000 range. A little underpowered, but has fuel injection, four wheel drive with a low range, 440 lb bed capacity, and 1200 lb towing capacity.

I had a Kymco UXV 450 for two years. Solid machines. Kymco is very under rated. I traded my UXV 450 for a 2018 Honda pioneer 500 mostly for the traditional geared tranny. I wanted the 5 speed paddle shift transmission. So far I love it. Not only that but I felt in the long run the Honda will serve me better. Yes Kymco has a dealer network. It is getting stronger and growing but it is still lacking compared to Honda Yamaha Kawasaki Polaris etc. so I traded for Honda reliability and dealer network and the geared tranny. I had no issues at all with my Kymco while owning it the two years though. It was a very solid great performing machine. Kymco’s updated 2018 off road lineup is the most underrated and excellent value in the market today. Check out the UXV 700 prime and hunter editions.

That's quite a deal, that would put it under $10,000 U.S. My local dealer has been trying to sell a new Wildcat Sport for that price U.S. and its still for sale. This one does have power steering at least, you didn't specify if yours did.
@northerntaco59996 жыл бұрын
Greg Rowe mine is the base model. I had every intention of adding power steering ($800-$1000) but I don't feel like I need it. Slow speed rock crawling maybe, but I don't do much of that. I added itp ss wheels and 28" tires and a bunch of other things and I am still thousands less than what they want now for one in Canada. ($17,499 plus tax, freight and PDI)

Still a great deal.

Stephen, can you make a video on your dad's old chevy truck? It would be interesting to see everything that has been done to that truck
@TFLoffroad6 жыл бұрын
Sure! I would love to make a video on it for TFLTruck. Best part about that truck: it's a survivor. It has never been restored, and the paint job is original. It's great. Watch TFLTruck for something on it.

Wow, that's amazing that the paint is in such good shape! Looking forward to the video!

Ive been asked if I'm interested in my in-laws' 2016-17 Massimo 500 @$5,000..42hrs..and 300 miles..Is it a decent deal?
@juniordamron45555 жыл бұрын
Jay Todd I bought my 2015 Massimo 500 new from Tractor Supply, I use my machine almost everyday on my property. I payed double the amount you are talking about, if you have a use for it and it hasn't been beaten to death and know the present owner. I considered a new machine but can't find a reason to change. Good deal.

Junior Damron I ended up buying it last week . Give them $4,000 and had to buy a new battery for it to get it going..gonna get some fresh fuel in it, change the oil and filter. Then see how I made out.thx

I have a 2017 Ranger 500, opted to save the $1000 over the 570, great little machine for work and play. Also the aftermarket for the Ranger has anything and everything you can want.
@ROTAXD6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Carey that $1000 would have been well spent. The 380 polaris motor actually makes more hp and torque than the 500 you've got. The 570 is on par with the dyno numbers from the old 700 twin sportsman engines.
