I remember when my dad and I were in his truck one day and he had told me, “play this song at my funeral” and he turned the volume up. I didn’t pay much attention to the song but little did I know... I lost my dad on Aug 8th and I’ve been praying and hoping to remember what song he wanted. Then, the other day I was with my cousin, she played this song because it had reminded her of my dad, and that’s when I knew this was the song he asked me to play. I cried, and will forever cry to this song. RIP Pops 💙🕊 and if you’re reading this, RIP to your loved ones too 💙 stay safe 🙏🏼

Virtual hugs. Remember that a part of them live on in you and remember the good times and share stories of them with others so they can also think of them. This is what I have tried to do anyway. It gets hard sometimes to keep going on without crying but now I am a mom I know my folks wouldn’t have wanted me to stop living. There’s tough times you just wish they were there for and in those times, be easy on yourself and don’t be shy about asking for help or if someone will step in that role for you. Graduation, all the firsts.. it’s way weird to not have your parents there for them, or it was anyway for me. I believe in God and Christ so I believe I will see them again and hopefully will spend eternity together. God grants free will though, so I respect that and this isn’t a conversion attempt, just sharing with you what’s gotten me thru so far.

She had so much going for her and was just 21 years old and graduated college before me. She was super close to finally achieving her dream job and goal. After being in the hospital for months of surgeries and rehabilitation therapy, she was getting ready to return home and continue her studies, but after 15 years of fighting against a disorder called Neurofibromatosis, she took her last breath on that fateful day and passed from the earth leaving her friends and loved ones behind.
