As I wrote plenty of times in the video, this is so special to me because this is the reason I stayed in Thailand in the first place (at the very beginning I just came to hang out with Mark, we had zero plans, and we just stayed in sleeping bags on a friends floor for 3 months!) It was this job, and this couple you see in the video, that won my heart for Thailand. and the kids obviously, continue to win my heart today. Kids everywhere are the best, and Thai kids are sooooo very fun indeed :)

You did better with your trip to Nan than I did with mine. I went on the day there was a 6.3 earthquake in Nan Province. It was outside the town but they were closing the temples and engineers were looking for stress cracks. Power was out so I cruised around town and everybody was looking dazed and confused. I decided to retreat to Lake Sirikit. Regardz!

Enjoyed the bike ride Joel and the food. The school is amazing very big and great agriculture program having a rice field on the school compound. You can see how happy the children are with their teachers, you and the activities, safe travels❤

Hi Joel - terrific cycling even though the last part was rainy - great food ... so yummy everything looked fantastic, especially the catfish curry ... my wife Renee had an MRI & angiogram on Tuesday 9/15 to see the extent of damage from her July 8th brain hemorrhage. The result indicated more severe damage than expected. Her full recovery may take 1~2 years so please, if you think of it, say a prayer for Renee Bartlett's recovery. Finally ... so proud of you as an American to devote so much time to the "camps" to foster learning English with the Thai children. You are one Blessed person that surely will enter the "Kingdom" ! Be Blessed! Ron

Very happy to see what youve said, I think Northern Thailand specifically might be one of the top places (if not #1, for many reasons!!) in the entire world for a Solo bike tour. THe safety, the convenience, and the road quality, OH and of course friendly people on the way if you need help/directions... Ive been to about 40 countries so far, and Thailand is by far the best for cycling!
