You know, of the three, this one has to be my favorite because it finally ties something that bugged the hell out of me together. As much as I loved 6-2, I was baffled by the way it talks about Magnifi like he was some caring magician who just wanted Retinz to appreciate the art and not get caught up in glory. The way you portrayed it here is legit my headcanon now because it makes way more sense if those events played out like this where Magnifi was still being a godawful person about it
@debastiansebeste Жыл бұрын
I mean, I'm sure Magnifi's main concern would be that his Troupe's reputation doesn't get tainted. Which is why he even ousted Retinz when he disobeyed orders, and which is why he hid the fact that Thalassa had been shot. The dude didn't want anything negative to be heard and ruin the Troupe's public image. No matter what Trucy said at the end of Retinz's trial, there's no way Magnifi ever did anything out of pure idealism imho
@darkkirb206 Жыл бұрын
Well, I figured that we would be seeing the “Ratings Rajah” in this series. And he’s just as much of a petty, obsessive psycho as he was before he was arrested. It’s incredibly satisfying to see the reveal that it was a Gramarye that ruined all his plans for revenge and gave him exactly what he deserved for what he did. Delusions of grandeur seems to be a common theme with the antagonists in this franchise. Looking forward to seeing the Valant episode next.
@themastermindvigilante4029 Жыл бұрын
Where he’s right is the fact karma doesn’t exist if you don’t provoke it itself, we seen it several times in Ace Attorney where some criminals escaped their crimes unpunished before finally get their karma (like Von Karma, lol) because Wright and co were here. But what Retinz did to Trucy is the exact same thing Valant did to Zak. He made an innocent boy, who believed in him, impersonating him and killing him in a magic trick just for the purpose of framing her for murder. It’s not retribution for Magnifi’s crimes, it’s just cold-blooded murder. Of course Magnifi is one of the shittiest person in Ace Attorney serie and he should have deserved his karma for everything he did for the sake of fame but still, murder can’t justify this...murder will never be justified. It’s still funny to see all the persons related to the Gramarye’s Tragedy are all criminals acting only on selfish interests. It’s like the whole symbolism of this family.

I think deep down, Retinz knows the truth. He just doesn't want to admit it. Thalassa is a better person to be willing to still treat him like a human being after what he's done.

The Calling Card will be special for Retinz. Instead of the classic red card, he will get a 4-colored card, red and black on one side, yellow and blue on the other. As for the message, it would be this. "To Roger Retinz, the king of fame, we accuse you of the sins of Greed, Envy, and Obsession. You took the hearts of many and tonight, we'll take them back, for a great injustice has fallen on your hands!"

although this is my first time seeing this Retinz guy, I have a pretty good grasp on his character. so, never doubt your ability in writing their dialogue. the whole interaction was pretty good, a child making up for her cruel parent's wrongdoings one person at a time. it is endearing but doesnt change the fact that most of their lives have been drastically changed (often for the worst) because of it. cant wait for part 3.

@shadowstar8619 Жыл бұрын
@@debastiansebeste That's fair XD She's both the widow *and* mother of "Justice." If anything, Retinz has no right speaking ill of Thalassa and her kids. Kinda surprised it took him that long to realize that Trucy's attorney *just might* have been related to Thalassa's late first husband. Maybe it was just because Apollo styles his hair differently, but you'd think Retinz would have a small "you look familiar" moment because Apollo has Jove's face; almost a perfect carbon copy, in fact (which only becomes more blatant when his spikes get wet lol).
