@Carl Collins I don't usually reply to crude vulgarians but don't think your disinformation should go without a response. Lenard J. Cohen wrote in "Serpent in the Bosom: The Rise and Fall of Slobodan Milošević": "in the first two months following the war, approximately 174,000 Serbs, Gypsies and other members of minority groups in Kosovo would flee the province, while revenge killing of those groups by Albanians rose dramatically." (See p.330). And later on p.354: "The cold-blooded massacre of 14 Serb farmers in the village of Gračko, while they were gathering their harvest, hastened the general exodus of Serbs from multi-ethnic rural areas, and general Serb out-migration from Kosovo." The self-described most powerful military alliance in the world, NATO, was unable or unwilling to stop the murder and ethnic cleansing of Serbs in a province no bigger than Algonquin Park. I won't ask you where you got your info from. You must have been listening to voices in your head. You need help.

@Macavity I'd love to! Not one of the major parties will ever get a vote from me. Not nationally, not locally, not whilst I draw breath. Conservatives, there's a stench of corruption in the air since the "contracts" awarded during C-vid and IR35 part 2. Labour, would sell their relatives (close or distant) to trash our economy and culture and drive us towards total collapse and IR35 part 1. Liberal Democrats, are the anti-democratic party (just like the EU, they'll have referendums every month until they get the answer they want and cancel all other referendums so that we can't make future changes), they'd sell us out to a socialist superstate in a heartbeat. The Greens, live in a land of rainbows and unicorns, the changes they want would send the UK down the tables of successful countries to the point of everyone gets a strip of land to work by hand to eat and, god forbid, burn the dried out waste material to stay warm. I'd happily string them all up, which ever gets into the front seats. I've come to the conclusion that, to get a government interested in running the country for ALL the citizens you have to put the first five parliaments (and the civil servants) on the gallows, or at hard labour, keep going until the candidates have to be pushed kicking and screaming to the hustings and the civil service, to replace the outgoing tossers, are forced to draw lots to be promoted to the top ranks. They deserve nothing less for decades of lies and corruption. I have, in the last two weeks, sent the local Labour candidate off with a serious ear bashing for just such behaviours. I'm waiting in anticipation for the rest.

@Macavity bless naaa it’s more the fact the most places prescribe to telling a one way view to appeal to people such as yourself rather then the truth or facts. Personally I like to see all sides on an argument rather then one side. By your reaction it seems quite obvious you would prefer to hear only the one side. So remind me again who wants to be targeted with just what they want to hear? The fact you felt the need to try and belittle someone for their opinion would also suggest lack of ability to think for yourself if you were able you would realise that other peoples views and opinions are as valid as your own. But as you have been brain washed to think only one way of thinking can be correct you act like someone who has an opposing argument is beneath you. Personally I would take a larger look at yourself before judging others as you might be surprised what you find :)

Any remaining Blair fans, please google the legality of the Iraq invasion - most experts conclude that there was no lawful basis - under international law - for the invasion - even if one "scales down" by one-hundredth the number of civilian deaths attributable directly to the invading forces's actions (10,000 rather than one million - I don't believe one can truthfully say the death toll of one million can all be laid at the hands of the USA, UK. etc armed forces) then we have 10,000 or so Iraqi people who might be alive today but for Bush's, Blair's, etc decisions - is an Iraqi life any less valuable than a Ukrainian's ?????
@thecomputingchronicles
@thecomputingchronicles 2 жыл бұрын
Places like Iraq barely needed the West's help to destroy themselves. Saddam managed to cause the death of millions too. The actual 2003 conflict was quite clinical, it was the chaos that unsued afterward which was the issue. All those that say the invasion was wrong, I simply ask what was the alternative? leave Saddam and his despotic family in power for another 40 years? How many more would be dead? I'd say considerably more based on his track record during Saddam's period in power.
@thecomputingchronicles
@thecomputingchronicles 2 жыл бұрын
@Dave Pin So you'd have left Saddam and his family in power to this day? Over a million dead in his war against Iran. Kuwait invaded and looted. 500,000 Feyli Kurds killed between 1970-2003, 100,000 Kurds killed in Anfal, 10,000 killed in chemical weapons attack on Halabja, 70,000 Shia's arrested and never seen again, 8000 Barzani Kurds vanished, the list goes on and on and would have continued to this day. That war removed one of the most evil dictators on the planet and anyone suggesting that he should have been left to continue on needs to think about what they are saying. Tell the victims of Halabja that Saddam had no chemical weapons. Tell Israel that he had no long range missiles whilst he landed Scud missiles on Israel in 1990.

@@robinclarke9978 Gordon Brown is someone I always thought - and still do - is quite a clever man but he was lacking in some areas. He didn't have the charisma of Blair and he was politically naive in some ways. I always thought his best place in the party was as a great thinker and ideas man rather than as a leader and man (and woman) manager. He was always going to come unstuck. His poor performance then opened the door for the lightweight David Cameron to take over.

Bring back apprenticeships for the practical young people who could do so well learning a trade that would be beneficial to society. His arrogance and total lack of self-awareness means, unfortunately, that he will never go away.

An excellent critique on TB and why we should never ever have a Labour government again, he has done so much damage to this country and as a result his and his family have become multimillionaires of the higher range. Apparently it went through, but I, like Patrick think he was the least deserving PM ever. He should have declined the offer and saved the Queen some embarrassment. I knew he had started an illegal war along with GWB, I knew he was responsible for devolution and the disaster for the UK that has become, I didn't fully understand the implications of enlarging the EU and what it did to the UK. I met a couple from SE England who were trying to get away because these newcomers were violent they claimed. They just wanted to emigrate but were not having any success applying in Canada. Trudeau wants people who dress or look different, preferably broke and with no skills. This guy had nothing to offer: he was white, had skills, and assets that would liquidate into about $1 million!!! Don't apply here, says Trudeau.
