She didn't start it that's a retcon by Jason Aaron. Original thanos was just obsessed with the entity until a recent recon which you're using but for most of thanos history that's not the reason for his obsession .thanos has been simping for death due to his insanity and not beacuse death manipulating him. Death didn't even talk to him for decades until like 2013 where his origin got retconned

I believe the death stone is the same stone embedded in Thor’s hammer that Thanos is holding from the future look of what is to come for Thor about 5 years ago. The one where Thanos also looks to be commanding the marvel zombies. It might have come in the very last Jason Aaron Thor comic. Thanos also looks to having some sort of necrotic gauntlet as well.

Somehow, with Thanos, it always comes down to the infinity stones. We know it, the writers know we know it, and yet it is always a must-read story. Loki is the most compelling villain/character in the MCU (apologies to the Stark fans), and Thanos just might be the most compellingly written villain in Marvel comics. Ever.. Not just now. I know, it's a neck and neck race with Magneto and Doom. I did type, "might"! 😉

In Mythology, Thanatos was the god of death itself, specifically a gentle, non-violent death. He would carry you off to Hades, the place, and Hades the Diety, who was the King or Ruler of the underworld or of Hades.... Hades and Thanatos are first cousins, once removed, which i think just means second cousins, because Thanatos' mother Nyx is Hades' Great Aunt. I think its really cool, that they took the personification of death in Greek Mythology, and it really makes total sense in the Greek fashion, I mean, that Thanos of Titan, little clue to his true origin.

She kinda goats him most of the time Thanos was always gonna be a m**der happy psycho that loves to end lives but in Thanos Rising and his defense its shown Mistress pretty much fulled his obsession with her from the get go to make him her tool showing only sliver of possible interest in few moments across stories. She made him her champion to use when she nudge cosmic balance in her favor here its like she indirectly admits that he’s just a her tool there was never love.
