I loved your old tutorials, they propelled me from g2 to d1. From there, I did some neon heights, and learned to aerial pretty well. I'm currently sitting around 1000mmr, mostly playing casual. My next step was exactly this, and you hit all the nails directly on the head! I did my first PROPER aerial dribble in 3 tries. This video is gonna make me a champ next season, cheers dude! Hey Thanovic, this is a very high quality video, easy to understand and easy to go through! That said, flip resets are probably the best mechanic between a comp player and freestyler and for some reason I can't get the hang of how to setup the ball for it and how to follow it up after you hit one, so I would love a video about that on your series. Great video once again!

His 100 hours of flip reset training is a good video for this. But it seems like he will create a higher quality one soon based off this video.
@CasualYoutubeCommenter2 жыл бұрын
I would say the setup between the air dribble and the flip reset are very different for one specific thing (at least for me). You have to give yourself and the ball a bit of space before you jump from the wall in a flip reset. In an air dribble, you don’t do that, you go straight at it for the first touch. May not sound different but trust me, it helps a lot.
@daveed27022 жыл бұрын
@@CasualKZbinCommenter you’re right. when i started braking after hitting the ball, it really helped out my flip resets. instead of hitting the ball w no boost for control, i think it’s best to boost into it kinda like a ceiling shot.

Loved the format and the content in this tutorial! I'd love to see one for (aerial) musty flicks. I've been working on them off and on and can't seem to get it consistent. I think it could encompass a few variations like off the side wall or after getting a reset from both the ceiling and the ball. I know that that is chaining a few things together, so maybe after you go through a standard ceiling shot and standard flip reset tutorial you can expand on them by teaching how to chain multiple aerial mechanics together.

I really like this type of content a lot more than the highlights. I guess everyone wants to just stand there in awe every now and then, impressed by just seeing what better players are capable of, but the tutorial videos I feel like have a lot more substance for just about everyone, including the creator as well. Even though watching a video can't put in the hours for you, it can still have a huge impact on how many hours one needs to get there. Well unless you're me of course, who can watch all the videos in existence and still be stuck in champion for 3k hours.
@neonraytracer88462 жыл бұрын
Champ is a good place, mate. Unless you really grind and put in 4+ hours a day, you should be happy around there until atleast 5k imo. Anyways I just wanted to supply you comment with a quote: Perfect practice makes perfect. Practicing the right thing and in the right ways is always the way to go. E.g. you can practice math all you want, but if you do BODMAS or whatever it's called in the wrong order, you'll get good at doing it in the wrong order. Practice alone is never enough.
@robinvanschaijk31542 жыл бұрын
@@neonraytracer8846 I'm not sure, not that i want to ego boost myself here or anything cuz for real that's not my goal here but i just achieved GC1 few days ago with only 1k hours. I never really watch replays so far but im 80% of the time in freeplay trying to improve my mechanics and i really think that helped, being able to score shots who are not easily saveable. Or making plays others can't really makes a difference in high champion imo, u can just play defensive after scoring 1 flip reset on em en wait the game out, that worked for me, also stop booming the ball away except if you both of you have very low boost. U should give it a try, just my opinion tho, worked for me!
@neonraytracer88462 жыл бұрын
@@robinvanschaijk3154 oh yea no doubt. Everybody's skill levels are also different. You practice undoubtedly made you have an edge. Some take 1k, others 3, 4, and 5k. It really depends on how you practice but there are also hard limits on skill, and then it's experience and decisions that helps out. Everybody's different but still, 1k is very well done. Good job!

After practicing the run up getting the ball to roll up at the same speed, to the same height (first half hexagon on the wall); consistently, on the wall was night and day. Just by carrying it, letting off and watching it roll up Allowed me to get a good hit every time which allowed me to stay close and gave me more time close to the ball which allowed feathering of boost to get soft touches, really just put it together.

Idk if I should use ball cam or car cam, sometimes if I get ahead of the ball it's hard to control the dribble with ball cam but I don't know if people normally use ball cam or car cam.

Hey @Thanovic, this was a great video/tutorial! I've enjoyed following your content and learning a lot from you channel. That said, if you plan to do a video on air roll, I would very much like a chance to speak with you. I know this is an odd way of doing this but I've started doing something in just the past week that not only sent my air roll/car control to a whole other level, but also jumped an entire rank in one week with it. It something I haven't seen anyone talk about, that I've seen and as far as drills go, its been the single biggest contributor to my success. If you have a chance, I'd love just 5 minutes of your time to share. I'm only a C1 but I can't stress enough how far my game has come in just 1 week. Thank you again as always and I look forward to more on this series!
