I went from D3 up to high C3/low GC by just thinking lmao
@itstonberrytime Жыл бұрын
You don't even need to diagonal flip in low ranks. As a low plat, I simply dump boost and keep a close eye on the opponent and only flip at the end and I either win the kickoff or match them and leave the ball stationary most of the time. When I do encounter speed flippers, I actually let off the gas for a split second before the flip (going for the second touch) and most of the time I send it right over their head. How you hit the ball and paying attention to the opponent is WAY more impactful than speed. Awesome video Thanovic!

There is a easy trick for the speed flip. If you have air roll right or left bounded hold one of those and then front flip cancel. This allows you to get the speed flip way more consistent and easier. Then all you need to do is do a flip into the side of the ball or middle and it beats opponents every time. I’m high C2 and still crushing with it Edit: I actually taught a bronze how to do this bc it was so ez and he’s already gold in 1v1s, 2v2s and almost plat in 3v3s
@tumbledortrickster65044 жыл бұрын
I like the video and would like to add knowing the speedflip kickoff is very beneficial if you main 1v1s. I do myself and for a while I tried to win possesion off kickoff, for about an entire season I got used to learning how to just be slow enough to win most of the time and keep the ball close after with a dodge intact to wavedash for a faster recovery than my opponents. This started to not work against some of my higher mmr friends (1300 and 1480) we started 1v1ing every day for about a month and I was consistantly beat, trying to diagonal flip, slow kickoff, fake into stall 50/50 to maintain position, and wavedash kickoff. I thought I was decent at reading opponents for kickoff but every single time without fail I would loose the 50 and possesion even if i had 20 boost saved or 0. When I questioned how I was shown the speed flip, which I thought I had known how to do but I was shown ways to do so even faster and maintain about 15-18 boost and made my time to the ball match them making the matches a bit more even. There were only 2 ways I could start countering their kickoffs which were to slow kickoff and guess which direction they would hit the ball and jump in that direction before they made contact with the ball or speedflip to match so I would at least remain close. If I lost the battle to the ball in speed I was left in their half without possesion and no hope of getting back. If I guessed I gave myself a better chance but it is hard to use against someone you aren't used to facing then you dont know whether they will send it to the corners or directly at your goal so if you dodge the wrong way you are in the same position. So against most people 1300 and up I would speedflip the first kickoff and maybe the second to get the feeling for how they play and then if you feel confident loose one or two kickoffs in 1 direction and then the next time do a slow kickoff and dodge in the direction you think they will try to push the ball through to dodging the direction they are coming from diagonally, you will avoid a demo but not actually force out a 50/50 in reality it would just be you taking the ball off of them as they dodge out of position into your side, that puts them out for about 0.5 seconds because they will be stuck flipping and then maybe another second to recover with 32 boost (20 saved plus 1 penny) if you have 20 boost saved after kickoff which doing a slow kickoff you may even have more 1.5 seconds is more than enough to shoot the ball or get it on top and flick it. For 1v1 mains or people who really enjoy 1v1s they will plan the next kickoff based on how you did the past one's so focusing on perfecting 1 way might not be enough. Just my opinion. All the info you gave was pretty great too though. I just wanted to give more insight to those who might be trying to look for more info

Anh Le speed flip is a diagonal flip cancel that allows you to maintain boosting in the correct direction without losing momentum from boosting. If you boost when car is not facing the intended direction you actually slow yourself down. So the speed flip is the most intentional.

Speedflip is trash when used by people who can't do it 100%. My teammate and I have made it up to Gold 2 just doing a good old full boost to the ball and front flip when we get there. This almost always neutralizes the ball or pushes it forward - very occasionally it'll end up in our corner (but it's 2s so that's not really the end of the world). Watching somebody speedflip: when they succeed, gain little to no advantage. When they fail, it's automatic offense or perhaps a one-touch goal. This happens A LOT in the lower ranks. This was an interesting video. I might give this a shot - honestly, more than anything else, your kickoff strat needs to be 100%. Anything less than like 95% is completely unacceptable, as that's like 1 free goal every 2-3 games. That's down to player skill and practice, naturally, and if you're reading this and can honestly hit speedflips 99%, kudos, I'm glad that's working out for you. Thanovic, if you're hitting your diagonal flips 99%, cool, that's good (and I'll take a look at them too), but don't discount the good old boost and punt (for 2s and 3s - it's not really a viable strat in 1s)

@dracobutwhatever86114 жыл бұрын
PFRパイカ Yes, but this is exactly what I mean. In order to counter it, you must kickoff a certain way, and if you predict this, you can gain the upper hand. Basically what I meant is, by showing the enemy that you have it in your arsenal, you allow for much more mind games, similarly to how if you air dribble all the time, but in another encounter, you just let the ball roll of your car. This is more effective with mind games, because no one can really accurately guess if you will speed flip or just diagonal flip. The fact that the speed flip can hit the ball to the left wall, or straight towards the goal before letting the opponent even hit the ball proves it efficiency.

Very Nice tutorial. It's pretty impressive that you managed to explain properly the crucial yet mostly underrated concepts like when to boost, when to stop, most importantly in which direction to flip during collision under 10 mins. I would like to ask your advice on this issue: If i am not that comfortable and consistent with the Fast-flip kickoff, and my opponent keeps doing that every time, is there a way to counter their fast-flip kickoff without me going for it? I think I saw Lionblaze not doing any fast-flip yet winning or stalemating kickoffs quite frequently against the likes of firstkiller, ayjay, I mean as frequently you can against other pros at that level, but I don't fully understand that how he is doing it. If you see this comment please suggest.

Ive been using this kick off technique for a long time and I can say my mates hate me for it 🤣🤣🤣 the success rate is very high and and I rarely lose kick off because of this method.

For the speed flip ur suppose to hit it on the inside of the ball or outside of the ball not in the middle just a tip

In m platinum and I decide to try to learn the speed flip kick off. It was hell. 5 months, 5 months it took me to even hit the ball

I always powerslide to the left then side flip on my kickoff because it will 50-50 the ball in a way so it stays on the ground but moves to the oppositions side (sometimes) and lets me move closer to one of the mid boosts for a chance to make a play

Literally just played someone that did a speed flip on every kick off last night and I think I ended up getting a Brazil on him. Pretty easy to counter if you read the other player tbh.
