I once worked at a sign & graphics company in Raleigh, NC. I can't even count how many times people had me redraw and reprint vinyl graphics for their outboard engines and their boat names after they restored them. I was able to see my work on people's boats when I was out on the lakes. That felt so rewarding.

For whatever reason I've never seen him do a cost analysis vs sale price on one of these vids. He probably doesn't want people out there scarfing up boats to try and flip and then realizing they are in over their heads too late.

This video reminds me of when I was 10. My dad got this 30 year old ski boat. We spent about a month restoring everything on it. The engine was completely toast so my dad got a 1999 mercury 150hp XR6 to put on it. The plate was very faded and it was only rated up to 120 hp but we strengthened the transom and it sat a little low in the water. It was a lot of fun on the lake.

Your videos inspired me to take on an old boat. I spent about 3 months and completely restored a 1997 Angler. What a back breaking but rewarding project but there is no way I’d do it again. At the end of the day I recouped everything I put I to it plus a little. I learned a lot. Most of all it made me appreciate why new boats cost what they do so I used the money from the old boat for a down payment on a new Key West. All part of the journey. Keep up the great work!
