In a small town in Kansas, the Seacat family, Brett, Vashti and their two children, happily lived. One early morning a fire destroyed the home, with Vashti still inside. Brett was quick to say she had started it herself, she had been suffering. However, sure didn't look that way.

Kevin, you should see the Wisconsin judge sentencing Chandler Halderson (young man who killed his parents, dismembered them, and scattered them around) yesterday! Mike made a video about Chandler about a month ago. The judge was so composed. I wasn't sure I wanted to watch for the length of time it was, but the crime was particularly hideous. After watching the trial, I needed to see the sentencing. It was fantastic!👏

Everytime i watch these crime shows i am truly astonished #1 of the number of females who have been killed and #2 how beautiful they are and usually very intelligent, good students, and good daughters. This world will never know what wonderful things they would have brought with them as they grew up and done what they loved doing. So so sad.

The moronity of these responses… Up until the beginning of the 20th century, it was men that got the custody most of time, because women were literally not allowed to own shit or have money etc in order to take care of the children. It is only with the emancipation of women and the beginning of WW1 (where all the responsibilities that men had until that moment were put on women, or else the society would collapse on itself, since most men went to war), that it was decided that hey, just let’s make women take care of the kids. And then it became the norm, because of the whole ‘maternal figure’ bs. Y’all comments only show how much hatred you have for women, responding completely unrelated bs to the original comment. PS: even when given custody, most women do not literally withhold kids from their exes, like this man said he would do. Y’all clowns

Mike, I have a request: Please do a video about the murder of Jaren Lockhart. She was a dancer who worked in a club in the French Quarter in New Orleans. She was killed and dismembered by Terry Speaks and Margaret Sanchez. Margaret Sanchez had not only been friends with Addie Hall (a girl who several years prior was killed and dismembered in NOLA by a guy named Zack Bowen -- they found her remains in an apartment above Marie Labeau's Voodoo Shop), but she was also the stepsister of one of my closest friends back during my high school/college days. Believe me when I tell you that she was the last person that I or anyone who knew her around that period of her life would've expected to be involved in a murder. I've read multiple articles about the case, but I believe that you could turn up a lot of information about the case, the victim, and the perpetrators that many of us are not aware of. Please consider this request, especially since you have so few videos about cases in the New Orleans area and Louisiana in general. If this sounds like an interesting case to any of y'all in the comments section, please like this comment in the hopes that enough interest will convince Mike to make a video about this case. Either way, I'll always be a fan and I love love LOVE what you do, Mike. This is hands-down my favorite KZbin channel, true crime genre or otherwise. You're not going to be able to do that. 4) once again no fingerprints on the diary or gas can that proves that this guy did it.. especially when he couldn't get upstairs.. Would you be able to climb a set of stairs when there is smoke all around you? And seeing that the upstairs was totally engulfed with flames.. you wouldn't be able too. I’m so glad sorry for your loss!! Vashtis sounded like a wonderful woman! She seemed very kind from Mike’s story and your story about feeding the raccoons just confirms that! There was a big discussion in one of the threads as to whether people found Mike’s storytelling respectful to the victims and their families and friends. I would be very interested to hear your take on the matter, since you knew her and it seems you were fairly close at one time - if it’s not too much to ask of you.

Julie's son and Vashti's brother older by two years Weston died in a terrible car crash in 1990. The family has been through a lot. After Vashti was killed, her siblings tried to get custody of her boys from Vashti's mother Julie. Julie wasn't having that though. She said they weren't fit to raise the boys. @ricktherrien8235
@ricktherrien8235 2 жыл бұрын
Just a little tidbit of information about people who talk about themselves in conversation and not referring to this comment about not expressing his grief. But people use to talk about themselves all the time in relation to someone’s topics. Such as if someone tells a story about fishing a person would reply with talking about their love for fishing or a story about when they fished. It was a way to relate to the person and show your interested. But if someone says they caught a 12 pound bass and someone has to reply with a story about catching a 14 pound trout they are trying to one up the person and being self absorbed. If someone tells a story about how they love fishing and a person says they love fishing to and just reiterates with the same expression they are trying to be the Center of attention. You have to know communication and why we talk. People who talk about themselves are not always egotistical sometimes people talk about themselves as a way to communicate and show interest and because they relate and are trying to show the person who they are and to get close to the other person by showing they care and that they to enjoy what the other does in order to display themselves to the other as a way for them to get to know them.

Narcissistic a holes aren't exactly known for truthfulness...or sincerity...or modesty...or empathy...and most of them are about as intelligent as a kitchen sponge. They see their children as both property and an extension of themselves. They see their spouse as simply property and will often attempt, sometimes successfully, to destroy what they cannot keep. And This guy is a perfect example of the type.

@@nancyyarbrough1445 Probably. I certainly encountered plenty of them in my school and working hours...I had a recently separated co worker who had put a tracker on his wife's phone while they were still together... "for times like this", had let himself in the house while she was away after their separation and installed cameras and listening devices in every room and bragged about how he was grilling his kids for information whenever he had them for visits. He was still laughing like a hyena with his equally narcicisstic sycophants while I walked out, got his wife's number from a friend in h.r. and called her. After being understandably shaken and furious, she realized there was a silver lining in the situation...she had a restraining order in place, which he had clearly violated in order to install the cameras...her father was in law enforcement, she told me...so were two of her brothers and a sister. She thanked me and said she was going to turn him into a cautionary tale. Heck, I was done with that job anyway.

Those might be the easiest ones to spot, but there are also narcissists who are intelligent and even quite good at "taking care of" or "looking out for" those around them. Only their idea of doing that is to do what they see is best while ignoring everyone else's input. "I did it for your own good," kind of thing.

@@brianhaygood183 Yes. I know. My dad was like that. That less common type of narcissistic individual can hurt you so much worse because they are masters of emotional blackmail. And that takes into consideration that I got stubborn and stopped letting him and stepmom make me cry around 11 years of age.

That's because they don't know how to do it for real because they're ignorant and naive. Most spouse murders are the only time the murderer ever killed anyone. And they're up against homicide detectives -- trained professionals who investigate and solve murder cases all day every day. That's all they do. For your average rookie like Seacat it's like getting into the ring with Mike Tyson. Yeah. Good luck with that. And narcissists like Seacat are always shocked to discover that they've been found out. @@bondickle I dunno if he was arrogant, or just past caring. It is pretty common for law enforcement members (male and female), to be abusive in one form or another, toward their domestic partner. The force seems to assume this, and there’s built-in wiggle room for members. But all you have to do is see how much hell is unleashed when an officer is injured or killed, to know that they are treated very differently. I’m not knocking that; it’s actually not at all surprising, if just a little bit less than protecting and serving all equally. I have to wonder if he really expected some form of protection? Surely he wasn’t that divorced from reality. Or am I defining “reality” wrong?
