Derek Saretzky was a troubled kid living in Crowsnest Pass, Canada. When Hailey Dunbar Blanchette went missing and her father, Terry Blanchette, was found dead, the search was on. A search which would result in solving an earlier case, and a horrific conclusion.

That's how you get confessions though. I swear, every Canadian interrogation I've seen looked completely different from American ones. And I don't think it's just the "Canada nice" thing; I believe they are probably trained to do it this empathetic way. I wouldn't assume it ALWAYS works, but I have yet to see a video of a failed one. But yeah, HOW they manage to do it is beyond me. I'm a level-headed woman, but I'm sitting here listening to this little piece of sh saying "I dunno, I didn't do it" like a smarta__ little kid, and I want to reach through my SCREEN and smack him!

Exactly, as a quality detective is focused on getting enough evidence to get a conviction. If they just bashed the perp's head on the table then all the evidence could be rule inadmissible due to torturing the defendant... With that said, I did a night of good cop / bad cop because I wouldn't sign their confession that I "had 40 lbs of Meth" in my "brown dodge tradesman cargo van", because they stopped me while I was moving and driving my black ford econoline van. While I was never charged I do live with severe chronic pain. because bad cop noticed the surgical scars resulting from a drunk driver breaking four vertebra in my hack he went to town on me. And the van they were supposed to stop wasn't stopped... Needless to say, I wish that law enforcement in the US was as professional as it is in Canada. Being a Halfbreed is only a misnomer in there as opposed to being a felony here in the states.

They hear terrible things but to be in that line of work you have to be able to detach yourself. I watched a video yesterday where a young woman had murdered a pregnant lady and cut the baby out of her, trying to pass it off as hers. Even though she denied it, everyone at the hospital (medical staff and detectives) knew she was lying, knew she killed that lady, and they were completely calm and just talking to her to get the story. The medical staff knew early on she had never been pregnant and had not given birth to that child, and far away from the suspect they very calmly suggested she had murdered someone. It felt strange to me at first to hear them talking about it so normally, but then I realized with all the awful things they see they felt emotionally detached from such a horrible scenario.

@@JustAGuy93-G the evidence is evil, sin, and how the Bible describes it! It is real! Heaven is also described! Hell is described as a pit of fire and gritting and gnashing of teeth....that equates to physical pain! It was reserved for the devil and the fallen angels (demons) but because of man's sin in the garden atonement was needed and Jesus (God in the flesh) stepped in for us all, who deserve hell because we are sinners. The wages of sin are death but the gift of God is eternal life. We only have to believe in faith that Jesus is the Messiah and accept him as our Lord, ask Him to forgive our sins an accept his gift of salvation! Evil exists because satan and demons are real and we all have free will to do good or evil! It's actually pretty simple when you think about it.
