Roller skating is definitely easier after you've done figure skating. A lot of the moves are similiar. Unfortunately, after my tibia plataeu fracture and brittle bones, from after chemotherapy, I'm scared of doing both roller skating n ice skating, cos I don't want to injure myself again
@saoirse_flies2 жыл бұрын
My best advice for that is first, buy the armor and wear it, and second, invest some deliberate time intentionally learning how to fall. Dirty School of Skate has several excellent videos about falling safely here on KZbin. I have several friends who have all recently started skating as well as myself, and those of us who have practiced falling are so far uninjured while those who haven't both broke their wrists in their first couple weeks at the rink. Falling safely is hands down THE MOST important thing I have learned about roller skating to date.
