Angelina was 9 years old in this video. This was her own arrangement paying tribute to the original artist Screamin Jay Hawkins. Many people don’t know that Sreamin Jay Hawkins was a boxing champ. He joined the army at age 13 using forged ID. He was a formidable opponent in the army and later in the airforce boxing circuits. He won several boxing golden glove awards mostly in his hometown of Cleveland. In 1949 he won Alaska’s middleweight title. 9 years old Angelina Jordan just delivered him a TKO. She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. This is easy to understand if you start with this: Angelina is one of the best singers in the world. Period. You aren’t ready to accept that because you’ve only heard two songs, but after you hear her sing about four or five more in different genres and styles-and absolutely kill them-you’ll agree that you’re seeing a once in a lifetime talent. Angelina is called the girl with a thousand voices for good reason. To see her range of music and her incredible voice, try her cover of Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind. Or watch her mesmerize a huge audience and judges with her own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. Today, you got power and attitude from a nine year old. Congratulations, you are one of the first persons to recognize Ella Fitzgerald in her, it’s very easy to recognize when you watch her NGT performance of “Summertime”. But, yes, she rolled Billie Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simone, and many others to form her artistry. And yes, she did win Norway’s Got Talent at 8 years old with 46% of the vote in the finals out of 10 acts. I don't for an instant thank she was trying to mislead you or others. She's a 13 year old giving a short answer. No one wants the complicated answer.. "when the show started I was 7. For most of the performances I was 7. By the final show I had just turned 8 because I had just had my birthday. For example, singing Gloomy Sunday I was only 7".

I literally sat here giggling like a school girl with happy tears running from my eyes watching you react. There are over 140 videos on KZbin that she has posted, some originals, some songs written just for her to sing, and a lot of covers. I'm not sure if you would want to go back to 7 years old when she entered Norway's Got Talent, and won it all at 8, or jump to the present, when she is 15 to hear and watch her Studio Performance of her original, "7th Heaven". If you go with the present, you also need to check out what used to be an Adele cover of "All I Ask", which Angelina now owns. When you see the original you can appreciate how much of a masterpiece this interpretation is. The soul and timing in this arrangement is just brilliant. To be 9 years old and come up with this version is simply astonishing. She literally directed the band. I just can't get enough of that squeal. I can't stop listening to this version. When her record label (Republic Records) , family and herself want it, they can just push the button. Many people forget that she is only 15 years old today because she is so mature for her age. She still goes to school. and I think everyone on her team including the record company (Republic Records), slows down a bit with marketing her. She is so good anyway, so she can not be ignored. She delivers music that lasts, and not music that lasts for a few weeks as plastic hit. Angelina has over 500 Million Views on KZbin and over 2 Billion Views on Facebook overall on her videos. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the Age of 8, and has been producing masterclass level vocals ever since. The only and regular marketing is done by the fans via KZbin. She began singing at one and a half years old and by the age of three was listening to jazz and the classics on repeat, singing along and absorbing styles and techniques. She was a true prodigy. Norwegian born Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 years old singing Old Time classic songs that are unheard of in a child that age. She became the youngest ever winner of an international Got Talent Show! You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (125+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style. She won Norways got talent when she was only 8 years old. She started the auditions when she was 7.. She got 5 place in Americas got talent the champions last year. And there is two songs from there you should check out. Bohemian rhapsody. Even Queen posted her video on their twitter with the words. "wow, what a rendition.".. And yellow brick road is pretty cool too. And she did someone you love.. The ones i want you to check out dor now when you got the time is bohemian rhapsody and all of me (john legend) I think she sings both of those songs better than the original.... And shes not even turned 15!!!

@@ThatSingerReactions yea she is isane .. She even has original songs. She sign last year i think with republic records. And the songs are actually really good. Especially million miles wich she wrote to everyone who has lost someone but mainly fro her grandfather who passed away in 2018... And that was the first song she released with republic records.. And her grandmother did the art work for the video. Shes a pretty famous painter and poet. Writes in 4 different languages. Norwegian, farsi, English and Japanese. But if you do that song do that live studio recording i think thats a tad better.. I got so much information qbout this girl. I live in Norway and watched hwr when she won and been following her ever since bit i dont want to flod you with information.. And there is a crazy story why she always sings or preform barefoot... But thats for another time. Cause once you heard Angelina you cant just stop at one song. Although you done two.. But you know what I mean. Its a rabbit 🐰 hole 🕳 so enjoy the ride... Lol

Angelina at 9 years old a vocal master and this is her own musical arrangement to boot. Scary talented is right, she just makes people stutter trying to comment on her talent. When other kids were playing kiddie games she was in the record store listening to vintage jazz songs from all the late greats. She cut her teeth on jazz from 1 1/2 years on.
