It is performed by Angelina Jordan, a very young and very talented singer. I needed a bright final for my instrumental album. After the series of cold hell's and Melting itself I longed for a song of a liberated soul, a soul that was set free from suffering. So, I remembered a beautiful poem by Robert Burns and wrote this song especially for Angelina. And she gave a sensual performance. We recorded the instrumental part on Abbey Road. What person at such a tender age could navigate this 18th Century Burns poem wrapped lovingly within the sharps and flats of a melodic cadence so perfectly, absolutely perfectly? Angelina is suited for such things as this - she's able to float and soar with breath, and range, the lows and highs, the pauses and poetry of her voice itself. Each time I hear this piece, it ends with me in the fields, mesmerized. That's Angelina. Mesmerizing.

The original lyrics came from a poem by Robert Burns written in the 1700’s and was put to music by Nico Cartosio on his album “Melting”. “Song For A” is the only vocal on the album all other pieces are instrumentals, and they are beautiful. The song was recorded after AJ’s family moved to LA so she would have been 13 at the time. The sounds of her voice on this recording will take you places you have never been before. Can you belive, - the instrumentals was recorded in London (Abbey Road studios BTW), and then sendt to Angelina in LA. Angelina did her vocal take for it. I`d love to be a witness to that prosess and that following conversation between London and LA. Like ; - "Was this OK ?" - "Just great. Super. Fantastic. Thank you soo so much. Love it." The versatility of Angelina and her talent, is the one thing that I feel is the biggest thing as it comes to my admiration for her. This reale make her stand out to me. Not only has she this amazing voice. Her immensely huge talent to put it to use in any kind of music, makes me burst from pure admiration. 🥴💖 👣🤗
