0:45 The connection between allergies and cortisol
1:11 The best antihistamine remedy
2:02 Foods high in quercetin
3:05 Other allergy remedies
3:48 Thanks for watching!
Let's talk about one of the best natural antihistamine remedies.
Histamine is involved in the immune reaction, and it produces a lot of symptoms related to allergies. Sometimes the body inappropriately responds to an allergen, and you get a series of symptoms.
These allergy symptoms can include:
• Hay fever
• Sinus problems
• Hives
• Itching
• Flushing
• Dermatitis
• Photosensitivity
• Sneezing
• Fatigue
• Wheezing
The more of a histamine response you have, the more cortisol response you'll have. Cortisol is the natural body chemical that helps neutralize histamines.
If someone has adrenal fatigue or low cortisol, they won't have the buffering effect from cortisol, and histamines will rise too high.
The #1 best antihistamine remedy is quercetin. You can use this natural antihistamine remedy as needed to help minimize histamine symptoms.
Quercetin has been thoroughly studied. It inhibits the cells that make histamines and directly inhibits the histamine response.
It also helps stabilize the mast cell membranes, which is how many antihistamines work. Quercetin can help reduce mucus and inflammation, similar to a natural Zyrtec.
You can get quercetin by consuming foods high in quercetin or by taking a quercetin supplement. If you take a quercetin supplement, you may want to take 400 to 600 mg, depending on your size, every two hours until you feel relief.
Taking it with a small amount of fat can help increase absorption. To increase the absorption even more, you can get quercetin with bromelain.
Foods high in quercetin:
• Red onions
• Capers
• Kale
• Radishes
• Dill
I have found this is an effective remedy, but it may not work 100% of the time. To enhance this effect, you can try other natural allergy remedies.
Natural remedies for allergies:
1. Vitamin D (at least 20,000 IU per day)
2. Zinc (50 mg)
3. Nettle root

Wow. After years of allergies, this year being the worst , itchy eyes clogged up couldn’t even sleep- I started quercetin and it has given me so much relief. After years of antihistamines that did nothing but make pharma more rich. I can vouch for this and I’m very pleased.

Dr.Berg, I have almost watched all of your videos it’s been 2 years since I started watching them. I am 31 years old. This year is the first year since my 17 birthday that I have no seasonal allergies. I did quercetin last year with Vit.C. This year, I have no allergies even thought pollen is « EVERYWHERE » in quebec. I read from somewhere that Olive oil increases DAO enzyme production by 500% and I started to eat L of it with arugula and other vege&meat. I also introduced I.F. Lost my bloating and migraines, mood swings. Everything is back to when I was a kid!👍💛 Thank you Eric Berg!

Tried everything Dr. Berg talks about here and in other videos - nothing worked to help with my sudden seasonal allergy that appeared out of nowhere and came to stay for six months every year. The timing of this video is perfect! I already take vitamin D3+K2 and Zinc. I stopped taking nettle root because of the nasty dirt taste. Maybe I will start taking it again, but I'm definitely going to purchase a Quercetin supplement today. I haven't had any allergy issues since going Keto with IF and OMAD. I just got back from vacation today. We were in FL for around 10 days. It was virtually impossible to stay on Keto while visiting all of the theme parks. Well, I'm back home and my allergies are on maximum volume. My throat is sore, my eyes are itchy and watery and my sinuses are draining. It didn't help that I only got 4 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours either, plus we got caught out in rain storms several times during our trip. One thing is for certain -- I highly doubt I would be feeling this way if I hadn't veered off my diet and not been sleeping well.

If the sinus infection isnt that bad or is not an infection it will burn if it's a bad one like mine was it felt like water but others who didnt have it as bad as me have said it burned a bit but still worth it. If burns too much just flush with water. I sniffed a lot all the way threw my sinus like drinking line juice threw my nose.

@@JohnSmith-cz3us It's one product that contains 800 mg Quercetin & 165 mg Bromelain. Plus a separate 1600 mg Vit C. These are the recommended amounts on the bottles so nothing extravagant. I went thru a series of allergy shots about 15 years ago which helped greatly but still have some seasonal issues. This protocol keeps it in check. Best of luck to you, allergies are miserable.

I take all the things mentioned in this video for my chronic spontaneous urticaria (autoimmune based hives). Quercetin also has many positive effects for osteoarthritis. So killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

After decades of hives, turns out I'm hypersensitive to fluoride and it was by accident that I found that out. For years I've taken all these nutrients mentioned in this video yet my hives never got better. My eosinophil levels were never out of normal range which makes sense now, it was not really an allergic reaction that I was having as much as it was a reaction to a toxic substance, fluoride.
@julie37029
@julie37029 2 жыл бұрын
@@zinnakatt8312 I feel for you. Hives are no fun. I tested positive on the chronic urticaria index test. I'm told that means I have an autoantibody binding to IgE itself or a receptor on mast cells. Anything that triggers an immune response and really any chemical my body just doesn't like can set it off. So I get the sensitivity vs allergy.

It’s all good and definitely useful but if you have high levels of vit D in blood ,it’s increasing Calcium in blood as well and yes vitamin K2 helps to prevent this happening. Taking 20000iu of vitD to me sounds too much. How you suppose to control Calcium overload then, too much Calcium can cause number of health issues to my understanding.
