Season 6 is honestly probably my favorite season, Josephine carried it on her back and became my absolute favorite character in the series. Plus Clarke and Murphy finally becoming friends was so nice to see. And Nevermind 6x06 was my favorite episode in the series. I lowkey wish they found a way to keep Josephine around cause she was such a breath of fresh air imo. They actually cut sm out of it too! Clarke and Blodreina had like 10 extra mins of dialog, Wells was also supposed to have a scene with Clarke in her mindspace but they couldn't get his actor to film, and this is the fun part. They also had tons of extra scenes of Clarke leading Josephine in traps to hold her off planned. They even had Josie get mauled by the damn gorilla from season 2 😭☠☠. Season 7 was a joke and so confusing, I wish they had gotten 16-18 episodes of season 6 and ended it off there

I didn't get around to finish this video until now, but I just wanted to share my (not so) quick thoughts about the ending of the show, because it's still one of my favourite TV shows of all time, and it has a very special place in my heart. First of all, Octavias storyline throughout the whole show is the best I've ever seen anywhere, and the last two seasons added a lot to that. Her journey from girl under the floor, to Lincoln, to being Indras second and discovering where she truly belongs, Lincolns death, Skairipa, Blodreina, the downfall and coming to terms with what she did, then her time with Hope and Diyoza, and then at the end being essentially the one who stops the war and allows everyone to transcend is phenomenal and I don't know anything close to it. Then, I think that season 7 is actually not as bad as everyone says, I even think I like the most parts more than S1. But then, everything they did with Bellamy was absolutely atrocious, and I say this as somebody who is not that big of a Bellamy stan. Killing him off was pure shock value, and that was something the show never had to do before, and was something I really admired about it. I absolutely dislike episodes 11-13, but I also think that if they had erased Bellamys storyline and made a better one for him, this would still be a good season of television. So this was probably my only issue with this season, but a veeeery big one for sure. Regarding the ending and the last episode, I somewhat really liked both, as they were still focusing about the main theme of the 100, which was in my opinion the good and bad sides of humanity. We saw a lot of the bad side (a lot more than the good side to be fair) throughout the show, but also some good acts of humanity, an example being the sacrifice people made during the culling way back in episode 5 of S1. I thought it was great to end on a good note (meaning the gang giving up transcendence to be mortal and spend the rest of their lives with their friends). I really like the quote "such a curious species" that the judge says in the last scene, because that's a great conclusion for the whole show in my opinion. Wish they didn't go down the transcendence storyline in general though, but they ended it quite well under the circumstances. All in all it is still one of my favourite shows ever, with probably my favourite character arc ever (Octavia). So, thanks for reading if anybody had the nerve to read all that, it got a lot longer than I thought it would be. Thank you for your videos, and yes, you definitely did the show justice. Btw: just wanted to say how much I LOVE your opinion about Bellarke, such a strong m/f friendship is so underrepresented in media, and I absolutely do not look at them as a romantic couple, and it feels good to see that there are more people like me our there Have a great day :)

I agree with you in everything, I'm still angry with what they did to Abby and Bellamy. Maybe in Bellamy's case I would have not tried to explain what happened to him and leave the ambiguity of either they mindwashed him in that planet or he trully found something to belive on their leader. Abby's case has not a reason why i would have kill her. English is not my main language but i hope i explained myself. Btw, I also love Octavia's arc and I wasn't expecting Diyoza's arc and her dying to save Hope. I personally would have not let Diyoza die there, she was so near to transcend but I understand they did that to continue Hope and Octavia's arc.

I’ve watched this show all the way through 3 times and it never gets old. I think the draw is that it’s relatable; that characters are flawed, stupid things happen for even stupider reasons and there’s no true victory for the protagonists as everything comes at a cost. At the end of the day it’s not what anyone wanted or expected but it’s definitely not the worst… the characters making peace with that, choosing to go on, to remember the people they lost, and just be grateful for the good things that happened to them is the ultimate closure. It’s just like what we have to do in the real world, and for a highly unrealistic sci-fi series to capture that is pretty beautiful ngl

I HATE that they had the characters give up transcendence for the power of friendship. Why not have the living characters transcend and the all the many many dead characters can come back to life via alien magic to live out their days with Clarke. It would have made Bellamy's death three episodes before better too

Yeah, the last season was a MESS but the characters and previous seasons still remain very dear to me. Great video/series! Man these seasons made me despise Jason Rothenberg. Season 6 was pretty good but it having storylines directly connect to season 7 still makes me feel like these two are completely skippable. Having Bellamy betray his entire character within one episode was just so bizzare. It really felt like Jason let his personal feelings destroy the entire show which is so distasteful. And then Clarke tells everyone and theyre just like "oh well hehehe". Watching that episode live and then seeing everyone's reaction was an EXPERIENCE. I think the ending was strange but okay on its own, but at the same time defeats some of the point of the series. The entire show is about trying to have humanity survive and whether they even deserve to or not. I feel like having everyone just "transcend" feels like a shortcut out. I would have loved for everyone to finally be at peace and be able to continue humanity on earth. Even ending it the same way but allowing the 14 to have kids and continue humanity would have been nice. But thats just personal opinion of course.

I'm so glad I never kept up with the series past~~ around season 2~ stopped when Fin was with Bellamy and they executed that one guy. Super convoluted. Also really sick of the post apocalypse/zombie fad that took over around that time, but them planet hoping and time travel is interesting.The only characters I cared about were Octavia and Bellamy. ...Ok, mainly Octavia for some reason. And Bellamy just by extension. Sucks that Bellamy became such a tool for literally every guy in powerful position in each season. Then his end >.< Loved that Octavia and Clark became friends and there was a relatively happy ending. Thanks for summarizes this series! Really enjoyed it and your takes. Especially when you said "mm hmm" - always something good was coming.

Maybe I'm forgetting something but I never understood why, when they learned how to make night blood, why they couldn't just take Josephine's chip out of Clark and put her into a willing volunteer. That way the primes can use their own people for the body snatchings and our group could have gone far away with their own bubble shield- that. The primes people build for them in exchange for the night blood recipe. I know it's wrong but they are the ones on their planet and most of the citizens are already way too far gone to accept the truth. This way, out group can start there own society far away and 'do better' themselves, rather than having to convert an entire city and Clark gets to live...along with anyone else they were planning on body snatching up like Maddie.
