@@nando6294 We all enjoy the reviews from TFL sir. However, that is not the definition of "chemistry". The interruptions makes an otherwise great video mediocre. All they need to do is put the cam on a tripod and take turns discussing the new features of the vehicle. if time is an issue, you can edit any unwanted dialog in post.

@StarGateSG7
@StarGateSG7 3 жыл бұрын
If I had to choose between only the Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, I would pick this Nissan Frontier in Pro-4X trim level! No ifs, ands or buts about it THIS IS a very nice truck! Of the four trucks, the Colorado and Canyon need a serious interior update. Engine-wise, the Frontier beats the Tacoma. BUT after that, the upcoming Ford Ranger Raptor will pretty much punch hard and really-fast to give every one of these trucks a big black eye! Based upon the rumours I am hearing, that ALL the capability of the Ford F150 Raptor is going into the Ranger Body but simply scaled down in size! That means off-road wise it will be KING OF THE HILLS! All I ask of Ford is to INCREASE the truck bed carrying capacity so I can put in the extra fuel tanks and all my fishing/camping gear. It will be interesting to see. This Nissan is the best of the bunch CURRENTLY in terms of light medium sized trucks design-wise and if you want a medium sized truck RIGHT NOW, it's this one or the Ford Ranger Tremor edition. If you can wait and can afford a higher price tag, the capability of the Ford Ranger Raptor will be just sooooooo faaaaaar ABOVE these trucks that for someone like ME who wants to go to the deepest and most far-off woods, lakes and rivers in North America winter and summer, I just have to give the purchase nod to the upcoming Ranger Raptor. I have said in earlier posts that the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison Edition is the best bang for the buck for medium-sized true 4x4 trucks which WAS TRUE up until today ..... BUT..... this Pro-4X trim gives it some serious competition and in my opinion the Frontier LOOKS WAAAY BETTER. BUT THEN AGAIN, that giant elephant in the room, the upcoming Ford Ranger Raptor, will just NAIL all the boxes for TRUE high-end off-roading/boondocking/overlanding in the rugged medium-size truck segment. I want and NEED a truck pretty much right now and this Nissan ticks many of the feature boxes I have in my mind ... but all those Ford Ranger Raptor rumours keep chomping away at my mind-space saying "Just wait a little longer....ALL my boxed will be ticked by the Ranger Raptor!" It's Soooooooo FRUSTRATING to have to wait to see what the Ford Ranger Raptor will bring to the off-roader table in the REAL WORLD! I will admit though if Ford SCREWS UP the Ranger Raptor, this Nissan Pro-4x edition WILL be my actual personal truck buying choice! SOOOOOOO ..... HURRY UP FORD and DON'T SCREW UP THE DESIGN AND FEATURES OF THE RANGER RAPTOR !!!!! v

They need to bring back the Nissan X-TRAIL T30 gen. from 2001-2007 :( Those things are more capable than people give em' credit for. Survived a pretty bad T-bone in a 2005 X-Trail one time (Bona Vista trim lvl). Frame and shell held together strong but the engine bay was shredded and the front axle was bent with the wheel imbedded inwards. Walked away without a scratch. Now I still have another xtrail, 2006 X-Trail LE 4x4. Amazing loyal little workhorse, will always start in -30 Celsius brutal winters buried in snow. And has gotten me out of sticky situations numerous times off-road, bone stock suspension still and will go almost anywhere even while equipped with just all season tires with 50% tread left. 217, 000 kms on the ODO, has had only 1 transmission oil change in its entire life and THAT'S IT, not risking another lol. Never had a diesel X-trail before though but I bet they're decent.

I just started checking the new Frontier out yesterday, and of course thought of TFL to find out about it. I was actively shopping on Jeep e-Shop to replace my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL Sahara with a fully optioned Gladiator. MSRP on the Gladiator was whopping $64K and change and the dealer, Roberson Chrysler Jeep in Salem Oregon, was price gouging with an additional $2K added for extra pandemic greed. Nissan is killing it with 2022 Frontier pricing. The fully optioned top of the line 2022 Frontier Crew Cab Pro-4X is very reasonably priced at $44K. A full $20K less than the Gladiator. I'm going to find out today if the Nissan dealers are also pandemic price gouging like the Jeep dealers are. I hope not. If they are, I will wait until things change and they are hungry again to sell cars. I will long remember the way these dealers were price gouging during the pandemic.

After 7 new Dodge/Rams since 2007, 4 of them 2500 4x4/Cummins I traded my 2018 2500/Cummins for a Tactical green 4x4 SV with convience and tech group. I have 2750 miles on my new Datsun and it is in the shop with issues. The cloth on the front seat has separated from the seat bottom. The rep looked at it on 01/12/22 and approved a new seat.The seat has a slight rock from the play in the electric adjuster linkage. The transmission has surging issues ever since they idled it up to eliminate the rattle/harmonic vibtration in the sheet metal on the engine with 300 miles on it and something is not jiving, Idon't know maybe it is the throttle body thing communicating with the transmission that it is time to go and it means quick.And that is when a Tervis tumbler of water or whatever it has in it pours all over your center console. The dealer has had me in a rental Rouge since the rep looked at my truck and a rep from the factory has called me on 01/13 and on 01/14. As far as design flawsgo the center console has about as much use as a bread box turned on end , the cup holders will not hold anything unless it is 3 3/8 in diameter and straight sided. The bluetooth dies when you parlk and kill the ignition. If you are on an important phone call and need to finish before switching to your handset, which is not seamless at all then you must finish with the engine running. Nissan took until 2022 to invent the gas powered cell phone, I am sure the Climate Change crowd is going to love that one. The popups that remind you to increase the volume on your connected device and the one that reminds you that"your call history has been updated" are so old at 2700 miles I can't even imagine keeping this truck for that reason alone.They hang on screen for 4 to 5 seconds. I didn't enter into my blue tooth to read, I did it to make a call. Why don't any of you reviewers point out these real world consumer tips. Their is a lot to love about this truck but if you are a dyed in the wool truck buyer like me then these are far more important than the remodel they put on the gen II. I bought this as my retirement vehicle as I am 62yo and chose this truck based on my families good history with the brand. This is my first new Nissan and my first small truck in 45 years.

I love all your channels. We are also both in Boulder ColoRADo!Oh , and I plan to buy a new Frontier as I have a 2006 2WD Nismo off-road prerunner with Bilstein shocks etc with a locker. My truck came from Hawaii. However, here is some constructive criticism. The camera person, which can’t be seen….Roman…. should never be giving orders, direction or suggestions to the presenter person on the video, almost sometimes talking over the presenter making him nervous or actually shuddering. You just here this voice (Roman) and no person on camera. You both should be ON camera and play off each other and have another TFL person, maybe Romans son behind the Camera! I know this wouldn’t be cost effective. However either both of you be on camera or just one of you instead of this invisible person and just a voice coming from the sidelines. Let the presenter be the presenter…….or…..change Positions, maybe switch in the presentation with one person doing the outside of the vehicle and the other on the inside. So there isn’t just a random voice with no human body jumping in from the sideline. With all you do right with your channel, this seams to be the channels “blind spot” no pun intended.

I'm not a Nissan guy. Never have been. I turn wrenches for a living and Nissan is my nemesis. Anyway, they nailed the styling. That's a damn good looking truck. Thay being said, sad to see it has no power train options. I intentionally bought a 4 cylinder Tacoma as a daily. It can't tow a lot and it's not as powerful but that 2.7 will run forever. That's why I bought it. I can drive a truck, get decent mileage, and it's a damn reliable engine. Nobody buys a small truck to tow. I bought it as a daily. When it's paid off I'll get a 3/4 ton for towing. It looks nice. It seems decent. But I wanna see price. That's a major factor for me. I'm willing to sacrifice a lot of creature comforts for towing, but that's just me.... Also, it's a Nissan.... Their biggest buyer is enterprise... Can't just dress it up and expect to be the best. Fancy new logos are great and all... But they don't change the history.

I'd rather have a twin turbo 4 with more power and low end torque than this 6 and the ability for a simple tune to add another 60hp. Toyota going the twin turbo route too. If Chevy goes twin turbo route too then this nissan will be the weakest truck in its class. Trucks need torque, turbos are perfect for trucks like mini turbo diesels not gutless high revving engines like tacomas 3.5 and possibly this 3.8
@itsdimitriymedvedyev
@itsdimitriymedvedyev 3 жыл бұрын
@@sergeysmelnik Turbo 4 cylinder engines are mostly used for fuel efficiency in smaller cars, they arent much better if at all than v6's and v8's in larger and heavier suv's/trucks. Even if there is more power/torque on a dyno, the engines will need to constantly be pushed more to a higher rpm and will be strained even more especially when towing and going uphill (also basically removing the fuel efficiency advantage), hence no replacement for displacement for certain applications. They will burn more oil/require more frequent oil changes over time, spark plugs changes, and carbon cleanup too if they are also direct injection.
@sergeysmelnik
@sergeysmelnik 3 жыл бұрын
@@itsdimitriymedvedyev turbo engines make most their power in the low and mid range rpm so no they dont need to be pushed to high rpm. You're literally talking about na engines. If there is more power on the dyno then there is more power on the street. Why even mention a dyno. The modern turbo engines have the same oil change intervals as na engines and both na and turbo engines will need more frequent oil changed with heavy use. Carbon build up isnt an issue with turbo engines that have both direct and port injection like all ford turbo engines for example. If turbo engines are worse for trucks than na engines then all heavy duty trucks should get rid of their turbo diesel v8s and just go V10s.
@itsdimitriymedvedyev
@itsdimitriymedvedyev 3 жыл бұрын
@Sergey Melnik you're comparing gasoline to deisel which has a higher mass density than gasoline so the higher energy automatically gives an advantage to deisel engines. Why mention dyno numbers? Because it is often used for marketing of smaller turbo engines, look at Ford ecoboost, they mislead customers by not including a / after the eco part. When you have more cylinders, the load is less stressful for the engine and it has higher endurance especially when towing and going uphill. A v8 twin turbo vs na v10 is a completely different story than a twin turbo 4 cylinder vs na v6 or na v8. Having twin turbo v8 is better over v10 since there is already enough cylinders to begin with. Having two turbos on a 4 cylinder engine with low displacement would be putting a pretty significant amount of stress on the block and cylinders especially in a heavy and not very aerodynamic truck that is towing multiple thousands of lbs and even more stress when going uphill. If you are not towing and mostly doing city driving than sure a twin turbo 4 cylinder would be somewhat alright although it would still be better for a lighter and smaller car. No turbo charged engines are not as reliable or simple as na engines since there are more moving parts and higher stress + temperature. www.motorbiscuit.com/5-downsides-of-a-turbocharged-engine/
