Just bought a 2023 on July 4th. I was very intimidated by the size until the test drive. I knew before I hit the stop sign to leave the parking lot that I was buying this awesome machine. It’s my daily driver and I love it.

I had the earliest version of the Goldwing in 78-79. It came naked but had a Vetter fairing, bags and trunk. What a killer bike! I have a 2015 Anniversary edition I bought new now with only 78k. I’ve slowed down a bunch at 76 and lost the wife that kept house for me for 33 years. I really love what Honda has done with the new Wing. It’s just plain gorgeous.

I own my first GW, new since 2020. This bike is the best bike I have ever owned in 35 years of riding on 2 wheels. A pure winner in my book. The DCT is amazing. Its my Escalade on 2 wheels. I have 20K on it and I never stepped on the dealer's floor for any tiny issue. Easy to work on, cheap parts all over, easy to ride a bike weighs 835 lbs. I don't miss shifting at ALL. Nice video, guys.

I have a 22 dct tour and I must say, this bike is really nice! It likes to eat up the miles and doesn’t ask for anything in return.

Almost 69,000 miles on my 2018 Tour DCT. Bikes runs/rides fantastic.

I have a '86 Gold Wing Interstate that my uncle had bought new. Eventually I got it after it sat for over 10 years, when he bought a new 1500 Wing, and I restored it. I rode a 2021 Gold Wing w/DCT at a MSTA STAR Rally. I loved the Wing, but would probably get the manual trans if I bought new. I still like the fun of shifting.

Finally got to ride one at my dealer and i have to say it was amazing! Its high on my list now. That's saying something, as an under 40 rider!!!

I don't have problem with vey show speed, you have to learn on how to balance the bike. I love my DTC.

Turns out the bikes we had during this review were not maintenance correctly, causing the DCT to be extra unpredictable and jerky. We rode another pair a few months later and it was much smoother and easier to use at slow speeds. Just goes to show how proper maintenance can effect the ride!!

@@roadrunnermag Try using manual mode and "feather" your rear brake! It then becomes as easy as lightly using your clutch... Good Rides

Got new 23 GW bagger last Spring and the DCT is great. The dual clutch tranny tended to hang in 3rd when slowing down until you get the first break-in oil change and new DCT filter. After that the low speed shifting and handling is very good. At 800 lbs having a walking forward and reverse gear makes parking maneuvers a breeze. Linked brakes are excellent at all speeds. Have no plans to go back to manual shifting after riding 4 of those prior to the wing.

It's nice to see the DCT not referred to as an automatic. It's still using a clutch (2 of them) and not a torque converter like an automatic. It's also using an actuator to engage and disengage the clutch, just as you would do with a lever. It's automated shifting handled by the computer. I know, I know. Honda even prints automatic. Very few will bring up this point anymore. Let the masses just call it an automatic.

I traded my 16 GW for a 2023 BMW 18B when I realized, at 62, I'm not going to be taking any more CC trips anymore since my business partner, my dad passed last year and I'm now taking care of my 87 year old mom. Life goes on...

The new gen Goldwings sound better than stock Harleys, and you don’t need to spend $1k on aftermarket exhaust.

Great review, however, not all owners think the seat is very good. In fact, the last decent seat I had on a Gold Wing was the 1500. Most owners find the seat lacking and make changes to it or get an aftermarket seat.

We put about 2500 miles on these bikes in a week. No complaints about the seat from us... But everyone's butt is different!
