Check the tightness on the heatsink clamp.

Do that and also make sure your PS4 is not to close to a wall and able to get as much cool air as possible. Also, Newer Game push the Base Model PS4 to it's limit so some Nosie levels can't be avoided.

If you do not have a matching disc drive logic board (the one that came with your motherboard) your Xbox will not run apps, games and in some cases might not update.

Most likely because you didn't install your old drive's logic board into the new drive or the ribbon cable that connects the mainboard to the disc drive logic board is not connected.

If you can you should buy the last 7200 or 7215 (USA) model if you can but it shouldn’t make a big difference. The newer systems run cooler due to a smaller cpu die.

@@fasttechvideo would be actually interesting to know if it works especially for people who have the older model and just wanna making the ps 4 a little bit better. They stopped ps 4 pro manufacturing I believe 2 years ago and maybe in the future we have even less of those consoles the only thing you can do for the old model is to buy a nidec fan and replace paste and thermal pads. my ps 4 pro is still working after 7 years even though I have a ps 5 the bigger power port is the only complaint I have with my pro.

The 7215b model is the best one very quiet, also after one year I opened mine up replaced thermal paste on cpu and ran even better, I later added a 2tb ssd samsung Evo. I'll just say it was worth it.

No you shouldn't have to update your PS4 Pro for it to work.

Sorry I'm 2 years late on seeing this. You need the chip off the old disk drive. It's the one the ribbon cable, held down by 2 small screws. This chip is mated to your motherboard. Without it? It will not read. I replaced like 5 disk drives in PS4s/PS3s.
