How come doctors said it is alright to eat all of this and other doctors says not good. This is very confusing from everyone point of view and perspective about fruits and any type of food for diabetes.

Hi there! The advice and recommendations given by doctors can vary based on many factors, including current research, individual patient needs, and personal preferences. It can be confusing to receive conflicting information, especially when it comes to a topic as important as managing diabetes through diet. We recommend speaking with your doctor to understand the specific reasons behind their recommendations and to get clarity on any confusion or conflicting information. It's also a good idea to do your own research and seek out multiple opinions to make informed decisions about your health. We hope this helps and wish you the best on your journey.

Good. But it would have better if you talked about GL as well besides GI. Of course, very cleverly you talked about "in moderation".

Is type 2 diabetes bad?
@DiabeticsTalk Жыл бұрын
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the body's ability to regulate blood sugar levels effectively. While it is a serious condition, it's important to note that with proper management and lifestyle changes, many people with type 2 diabetes are able to live healthy and fulfilling lives. It's crucial to understand that the impact of type 2 diabetes can vary from person to person. Some individuals may experience mild symptoms and effectively control their blood sugar levels, while others may face more challenges in managing their condition. Regular monitoring, working closely with healthcare professionals, and adhering to a personalized treatment plan are essential for maintaining optimal health and minimizing the potential complications associated with type 2 diabetes. Remember, having type 2 diabetes doesn't define a person's worth or quality of life. With appropriate care and self-management, individuals with diabetes can lead active, fulfilling lives and take steps to reduce the impact of the condition on their health.

When talking about fruits nutrients it should be told in grams unpeeled state, for better understanding and uniformity. Many people state in CUPS size, which becomes misleading.

How about green mangoes.
@DiabeticsTalk Жыл бұрын
Great question! Green mangoes can be included in a diabetic's diet, but it's essential to consume them in moderation and be mindful of their impact on blood sugar levels. Green mangoes are generally lower in sugar than ripe mangoes, which can make them a better choice for people with diabetes. However, they still contain carbohydrates that can affect blood sugar. Here are a few tips if you decide to enjoy green mangoes: Portion Control: Pay attention to the portion size. Eating a small amount of green mango can help prevent a significant spike in blood sugar. Balanced Meals: If you plan to eat green mangoes, consider incorporating them into a balanced meal that includes protein, healthy fats, and other sources of fiber. This can help slow down the digestion of carbohydrates and reduce the impact on blood sugar levels. Monitor Blood Sugar: After consuming green mangoes, monitor your blood sugar levels to understand how your body responds. This will help you make informed decisions about including green mangoes in your diet. Consult Your Healthcare Team: It's always a good idea to consult your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet. They can provide personalized guidance based on your health condition and needs. Remember, everyone's body reacts differently to foods, so what works for one person might not work the same way for another. As with any food, moderation and balance are key when it comes to managing diabetes.

Who discovered diabetes?
@DiabeticsTalk Жыл бұрын
Diabetes has been known since ancient times, but credit for the modern understanding and classification of diabetes goes to Dr. Frederick Banting and his team, who discovered insulin in the 1920s. Their groundbreaking work revolutionized the treatment of diabetes.
