Hey! Great to find your channel. You have a great content in your channel. Can you give me a suggestion that i love doing jump rope but as I am skinny after doing it i am becoming even skinny. Can you suggest some ideas that through jump rope i build some muscle like shana doesnt seems to be skinny. I want to be that way

Thank you! So your question is more complicated than it seems. Our appearance is connected to so many factors: genetics, diet and nutrition, training, and more. It sounds like you may need to consume more high quality food to achieve the look you desire. You may also need to do more strength training. Both Shana and I do some form of strength training three days a week. Good luck!

Shana makes it look easy! I started jump rope last year at the age of 50! I watched your beginners videos and slowly managed to do it. I can do about 50 reps before I start laughing and lose concentration! But, it’s a great exercise. Thanks for your videos, keep them up.

Love all the videos I've seen, I'm a elderly new comer to skipping, what rope thickness & length do you think I should get I'm 5 feet 6 inches tall ?.
@PunkRopeNYC4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching John and welcome to the wonderful world of skipping. For a beginner we generally recommend a 6mm cord. If you ordered one of our ropes I’d go with a medium as you can always shorten it. As to other ropes it’s tough to say. I’m not sure where you’re located. Presently we ship worldwide except to the UK.

@@PunkRopeNYC John robinson 2:24 PM (2 minutes ago) to KZbin hi There, thanks for your very quick reply. you can guess where I live, good old London England. I've looked on Amazon, but at the moment, probably because of covid they don't know when they will be getting certain ones back in stock, but I will keep looking. Thanks again for your quick reply. Stay safe ? healthy. Regards John 👍

@@Robbokay Hi John! Greetings from NYC. My girlfriend is an Arsenal fan so not sure if that's a good or bad thing from your perspective. Anyway, the issue with us and possibly other suppliers is that because of Brexit things have become very complicated in terms of shipping products to the UK. Our online shop isn't equipped to jump through all the necessary hoops. Rush Athletics is in the UK so I would try them first if you haven't already. Cheers!

Hey there, thank you for this video. I managed to find this video as I was looking for tips to eliminate my double jump. Can you give me more tips on how I can eliminate it. I’m afraid that I will never learn it the proper way now that do it with a double jump. Will I ever break this bad habit? Thank you so much xx
@PunkRopeNYC4 жыл бұрын
Enya, the best way to break the habit is to not allow yourself to do it. As soon as you double bounce call a time out. Put your rope down and jump without the rope. Do you double bounce when you jump without the rope? I'll bet you don't. You can also swing your rope to the side while jumping. One turn one jump. One turn one jump. That's got to be your new mantra.

Is it okkk to jump the rope for 1min and rest for 20 or 30 min??bse after tht l feel pain in the feet why???
@PunkRopeNYC4 жыл бұрын
If jumping rope causes pain in your feet it would be best to stop until you can figure out what's going on. It could be a prior injury or the way you land or your shoes or the surface you're jumping on. There are so many possibilities. But exercise should NOT cause pain.

Hi. How do I correct the last mistake from the video ?
@PunkRopeNYC4 жыл бұрын
Try practicing without the rope and by turning your rope to the side.

Why Double Bounce is a mistake?
@PunkRopeNYC4 жыл бұрын
It reduces your speed by almost 50% so you lose some of the fitness benefits of jumping rope.
