What people tend to misunderstood is we all have certain percentage of Alpha, Beta, Delta, Omega, Gamma, Sigma and Zeta in us rather than in 100%. These classifications are usually framed by society or third-party on us depending on our presentation and public appearance BASED on their perspective. That perspective have nothing to do what you actually are and how u live. I'm mostly a Sigma, but i also do have Beta, Alpha, Delta even Zeta traits in me. Depending on situation and circumstances and which of these that took control. It's just how the brain works.

I think you have a few seeds of truth but don't understand sigmas adapt and with a deep thinking and observational skills can use traits of other personalities to a goal. It's not that they fake the others - it's that they can, yet a key difference is they are not in their core. All others cannot quite pull it off when sigmas can. And, many people who don't quite fit mistake societal rejection for the preference of isolation. It's similar to one who chooses celibacy vs involuntary celibacy. They can look similar but are very different. It may be that a beta is simply trying to people please and fails and as a result - spends more time alone. Convincing themselves they are sigmas to avoid the reality of failing to please. Sour grapes if you will. You cannot be both alpha and beta, full stop. Those two are mutually exclusive. Alphas are more likely to be narcissistic (which persuasion is common) and a bit of a bully. It's masculine. Betas are more insecure relying on avoiding conflict. They are most likely to simp. It's feminine. These two do not intersect.

I never gave it any thought what personality type I am, With all the KZbin clips on personality types I've seen I identify most with sigma male characteristics. Clips like yours is an ideal review for woman what they want from a partner. Keep up the good work

I noticed the same thing. He only mentioned the strengths. I would have liked to hear some of the weaknesses too. I do agree that focusing on the positive is healthy but going through life with rose colored glasses is not healthy. It is nice to know the common flaws of each for self improvement through better knowing of one's self. I think I could be several different types. In fact, I think a person can change from one category to another over time, based on life. How many successes, failures, and trials in your life that can either damage one's personality or improve it through adversity and hard work or accepting failure. Perhaps a very young bata becomes Alfa or Sigma later in life because time really does change one's perspective of life. That also changes what is important to them later in life. Maybe your failures were hidden blessings and your then successes were hollow egotistical dressings of pride masked as improvement when it was only vain glory.

I admit that my view of the whole alpha, beta, and whatever other Greek letters used for this personality test is one of extreme skepticism. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t this have its genesis in a scientific study into the hierarchy of wolf packs? Isn’t it also true that this was never meant to be applied to humans *and* that the man who wrote it later repudiated it telling others he was wrong and not to use it? Just curious. Polite answers would be appreciated. Just seems to me that the Meyers-Briggs personality test is one that actually has some scientific merit. INFP here btw

Interesting. I had never heard that before but will definitely check it out. It was a topic suggestion that came about because of men being labeled. i wanted to make sure that there was no bias or preferences toward any type but more importantly just outlining the positives or characteristics of each. Also the study done on wolf pack hierarchy was conducted on captive stressed wolves, so it doesn't really relate to wolves in the wild. Wild wolf packs are based on a family unit, wolves mate for life and parent their children well into adulthood.

I'm Definitely a Zeta male personality type, a bit of a shit disturber, very resourceful, extremely driven, but typically will not follow the rules and guidelines of society, will fight for the truth, and has little interest in drama or the opinion of others. Confident, but at the same time reflects strongly on any personal incompetence with an overarching determination to change.

I don't think anyone has the exact traits of one single personality. I think you can find yourself having a majority of a particular personality. I think the biggest outside factor to a person's personality makeup is their life experience.

This is exactly my observation. I'm a mix of those 4, Omega, Zeta, Sigma, Delta. I always get about 7 or 8 of the most common traits of each when you a watch a specific video on each.

Though I fit the omega description closer than any of the types mentioned; I find the Big 5 or even the Myers-Briggs more descriptive and self illuminating . However, if you needed a quick surface level way to characterize men these Greek descriptions could work.

This helped me fix the personality chart I’ve been working on. I have a theory that each personality changes overtime. I believe it would look this way as a finances improve . Omega-> zeta--> sigma Delta ->beta Gamma-> alpha

(They rely on help to survive) Imagine being homeless with no options, no one wants to date that person. California makes up 27% of the homeless population in the entire country. In this state about 80% of people don’t own a home. So you have just 3 options when your this poor that make up the personalities at the bottom, just get a job, go to school, rebel and become aggressive to get a girlfriend. That’s how I see it because those are really the only options in this situation. Once a person finally feels “secure” they can mature into something else. They would have the power to change others and that’s when the other 4 personalities come into play.

Zeta for sure. Extremely physically capable, find myself in leadership but don’t really want to be. Tend to not care about social class or norms. More concerned with knowing as much as I can in order to make good decisions.

I would like to ad another Greek letter into the mix! Which greek letter, I don't know. There was an experiment done at a school in Alta, Norway wher they saw alpha, beta, etc in kids. They coded them as Black, dark blue, light blue and gray. Black is the alpha of the class and is usually just one or two. Dark blue are the gate keepers of the class that make sure the rest aher to the rules. Light blue are the less well off kids that follow the sosial normes as good as they can. All though this is much more simplefied. They had a branch that I don't EVER see anywhere else. Gray are kids who does not care about the social normes and just do their own thing and is not let into boxes as easaly. THey just don't care about the hirerarchy of the playground. Could there be a letter fit for "gray grown men"?

Other explanations say sigma is what you described to be an omega. Also what im yet to find is wether or not there is possibility of a crossover effect. Where 2 archetypes partially converge and certain traits are shared creating a hybrid. I believe that noone is absolutely a single archetype. Humans are to complex. - Sigma/Beta

That's a bit short and generalistic to some degree and sometimes difficult to really identify to so called categories. The thing I know from this is what I'm probably not. I don't have alpha traits, neither gamma or beta. Still wondering how a real man with real rich personality and mind could be reduced to one general category of man. True, I lost everything and where I am from being white alone means minority (~6% [aggregate value using various sources) of the population and my wife left as result also, so it was brutally to get back on track, changed me, I fall into the Delta classification. Great video seeing how accurate it is in terms of myself. Thanks man. Also besides what you said I am also the kind that have lots of patience but when I reach my limit I will say 'ENOUGH!' firmly and intensely, so much so that if that person persists, he knows that if he continues something bad WILL happen with 100% certainty, some get it, some don't and they made a choice and always regret it (see as a hobby that first started because I was bullied in school I started doing Martial Arts and still, I am 42 so 27 years), I don't like fighting these men since I know how it will end, but I always say what I do and do what I say, no exception.

In my case ,I can look at my past,and now see how I've spent my time.what I enjoy in life what makes me get up in the morning,I've had a interesting life. I don't feel need to get on the rooftops and give people details. When you're sitting in the mornings drinking your coffee you can think about it.. Then plan on what's next work on that. I think people how they spend their free time has a lot to do with who they are. Just my opinion

I'm 55 and just found out that I'm a Sigma. I could never relate to Alpha or Beta, and I'm just now finding out that there's 5 others. At every job I've held, including a law enforcement career, I've declined every time I've been asked by a supervisor to apply to become a lieutenant. I knew that I could lead. They wanted me to lead, but I didn't want the headache. I live alone, I was in heaven during the lockdown. I was praying for another lockdown, while most had cabin fever. I'm a writer, so I'm proud to say Sigma all day!
