If you own a PS5 already you can buy another PS5 for 500 bucks with 850gb storage or for 200 bucks more you can get a Pro model with 2tb of storage and much better graphics power. You can buy a pc but when you upgrade it will cost way over a grand to upgrade components. With a PC to get a second one would be over 2 grand or so. Not sure where everyones head is. You get to keep your original PS5. It's not a trade in.

Just price checked a pc build with the same specs of a ps5 pro (3700X cpu, 7800xt gpu, 16gb ddr4), it came to $1151 using budget priced parts. That being said, it needs to include the DualSense Edge controller at least, if not the disc drive also, to justify the price.

They obviously did this JUST to keep the September time frame they had planned. It wasn’t ready for primetime. For me, it seems common sense for an announcement you need a showcase of atleast 4 or 5 new exclusives and 4 or 5 new 3rd party “best place to play,” moments. They’ve had better reveals than this for Games. This is an entirely new console. And you’re showing the world…. Old games in graphics mode, with more stable framerates. Wow. Not really a way to sell, “this is only possible Here.”

It’s stupid they took out a lot of stuff on ps5 pro they made were you can’t run some of the games at 120 frames you can only run the games at 60 frame so the games are going to be lagging and be very choppy

With a little tweaking it could go up to 144 fps and 120 fidelity. It's a faster processor also. Not bad.

Do you know the PS5 Pro price will be around 800 euro? Which is mean $884 USD +Disc drive around 120 euro =$132 USD + vertical stand in 40 euro =$ 44 USD. So all together, gamers will end up $1100 USD

Sony could have made this more attractive by doing something like the steam deck to allow the ability to play PC games natively on the PS5 with using the SteamOS, similar like how car audio head units can use Apple CarPlay and android audio technology.

I'll consider this a "pro" machine when it can play PS5 specific games at double the frame rates and noticeable improvement in visuals. The Xbox one could be considered a "pro" console if all you play on it is 360 games!

Microsoft made the smart move by not doing the mid cycle refresh. If Sony had given us something worth the money, this conversation would be much different, but a larger SSD and slightly better video card just isn’t enough.

First off, it's not under $1000 in some places, second, this lackluster generation is halfway over. PS6 will be announced in a few years. Plus, there are no games to take advantage of the slight upgrade. The current games barely take advantage of "next gen" consoles because they still have to make sure they can put 'em on the PS4.
