@12:20 If Chong is "sea of blood" and connected to mainly female, that sounds like Yin to me. But you color-coded with Red. Is it because of the connection to Stomach? Would you say Chong is Yang and Dai is Yin? or there's no yin yang separation for these two unlike other 6 extra meridians?
@Acuproacademy Жыл бұрын
All 8 vessels are either Yin or Yang, the Chong is yin as related to Blood, Dai is Yang as it related to pathogens invasion and Qi holding the meridians in place 🌷 the red for the Chong is because of the Blood relation 🥰

Such a timely and illustrating video, Clara, as I am about to write my final paper on the Qi Jing Ba Mai. One question: Sometimes these meridians can be blocked, sometimes they are in excess. Should there be a difference in the needling technique or needling direction when opening the extraordinary meridian, depending on our goal of unblocking or balancing, or is just opening them enough for them to do what is needed? Thank you for explaining!
@Acuproacademy2 жыл бұрын

Hi Clara, I love your passion for TCM and Acupuncture! I'm in my 2nd year of acupuncture school now. Could you please tell me the points to help my 14 year old daughter who is having a lot of issues with Gender dysphoria (GD)? For those who don't know, it is the distress a person experiences due to a mismatch between their gender identity-their personal sense of their own gender-and their sex assigned at birth. We are currently in Hawaii and she is breaking down because she has her period and she feels very distressed and uncomfortable. I was wondering what would be the best points to calm her down? Thanks for any recommendation and/or advice.
@Acuproacademy Жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria, That’s so tough to watch your child struggle 🌷 I don’t know her entire health so it’s not easy to answer, however the 8 extra vessels are connected to Essence and our genes and childhood. I would use SP 4 and PC 6, LU 7 and KD 6 to start 💜

So are these only accessed with luo connecting points? These channels, other than ren and duo of course.

No, Luo connecting points are very different (the connect yin & yang related meridians, I created a video on the Luo points). However these 8 vessels are accessed through the Confluent points and crossing points 🌸
@billc31142 жыл бұрын

@@Acuproacademy do you have anything on confluent and crossing points?
@maxlencl4782 жыл бұрын
Ohh I misread your comment Bill. I'm so sorry. The confluent points are use for the extraordinary vessels, you'll see that each of the 8 listed in the video has a primary pair with certain functions. However, the Luo connecting points connect the 12 ordinary yin yang meridians. For example, if you wanted a point that connects Lung (yin) and Lg Intestine (yang) you can use LU7.

@Acuproacademy2 жыл бұрын
It’s not these 2 vessels are interchangeable when it comes to sleep🌸 the Yin Qiao controls the closing of the eyes and when it’s out of balance, your eyes close during the day instead of night (sleepiness but the Yang Qiao is also blocked), but at night if they stay open and you can’t sleep (insomnia), the Yang Qiao is out of balance! If you can’t sleep (the Yin Qiao is also blocked) 🌸 hope that wasn’t too confusing 🤣🤣
@signeehoffman46252 жыл бұрын
