The Absolute BEST CHEESE For a SMASH BURGER

I'm gonna just say it right here, right now....AMERICAN CHEESE IS NOT MY FAVORITE FOR SMASH BURGERS ANYMORE! Whew, can't believe I said that!
Make this burger for yourself, and comment below what you think and if you want, how you would change it to make your own!
Cheese recipe:
1/4 cup mayo
2tbsp whipped cream cheese
2tbsp chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1/4tsp smoked paprika
1 diced garlic clove
Dash of hot sauce (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
-Combine, cover and place in fridge for 30-60 minutes

Get more crust on your burgers by using a fattier beef like 80/20 or 75/25 - I used 85/15 in this video (cutting back a bit😜) and I could have used more crust. STILL OUTRAGEOUS THOUGH!

I followed your recipe here, and it was great! Although mine ended up being about 50% taller than your burger. I did two 1/4 pound patties. And the other difference is that I added bacon bits to my cheese spread instead of cooked bacon strips, as we didn't have any. I thouhht it pairs well with a 7up or Sprite since it counters the heaviness of the burger. I gotta admit, your channel, is of my favorites for motivating me to make comfort food. The last one I tried was your Asmongold pizza homemade alternative, which I still make about once a month since your video.

@@BeergrYTI think I want to try it in the smothered burritos I do.I think that would be a nice oozey, gooey cheese to use, plus the flavor profile would be a match as well. Sorry about that I should have just said, originally. I'll be trying that today. :) Clearly that's not all. stuffed meatloaf, inside armadillo eggs, sea turtle eggs, etc.. I just want to see if this can be a molten type filling to use. :) Also, just a heads up, but your recipe in video description is missing the 1/2 of cup of shredded cheese.

I'm not sure what Kroger brand grocery you have near you. But some of them have a wine and/or cheese bar. In the cheese area they have a Jarlsberg dip. Watching you put your own cheese mix on a hamburger makes me want to get a little crazy and try the jarlsberg on mine We need to break out of the mindset that only sliced cheese can go on a burger.

This is EXACTLY what I mean when I say, “There are no rules…” Try it and find out, could be the best thing or it might be terrible. I’d love to know. Chances are, if your gut thinks it’s gonna be good, it probably will be!
