They bought two separate homes and had the builder combine the two into a mega mansion. The houses were already built so they had to basically rebuild parts of the houses. Thats why the cost was so astronomically high and they couldn't sell their $10m mansion when the avg house cost in that neighbourhood is $2m. They made stupid decisions and are paying for it.

I work for a moving company. Part of my job outside of moving furniture is disconnecting and reconnecting washers and dryers. 100% of the dryers that I disconnect and reconnect use a gas line. Our clientele is higher income people who live in Southern California. From Palos Verdes through Manhattan beach, up to Marina del Rey, we do houses in Orange County and the higher income areas of LA. Even the highest income customers use gas. These people are bullshitting and bought a house that was beyond their means. They’re just to embarrassed to say so.

They also committed mortgage fraud. In their loan papers it is noted that the house is not to be used as a residence or to be lived in. As such they were already in violation of that legal agreement. I am guessing that they moved out BECAUSE they were served with a formal eviction letter and if they did not leave the Sheriff was going to arrest them on December 1st with CPS then picking up the children.

Why would their house be auctioned off if its apparently "unlivable"? I also don't see why anyone of their stature would choose to continue living in a home with so many problems, not say anything about the apparent unlivable state, then a year later go "Oh yeah we're moving now" they just don't want to admit they don't have enough money, but since they can't say it they want to still give off this image as the perfect family. Honestly with a 10 million dollar house that is made within the last 5 years, is surprising that they use gas appliances. The thing people have been moving towards is green energy. Using natural gas in multi million dollar houses isn’t too common. Even midsize medium income houses are starting to turn to electric hot water heater’s because they’re efficient and reliably can supply hot water nearly indefinitely. Hot water heaters require a large tank, while electric water heaters just run water through a radiator and can supply hot water way quicker.

Unless you get borderline free gas, and outrageous electricity bills; electric appliances will save you money. If you use natural gas, you need to run gas lines underground, have an ignition source, temperature sensors, carbon monoxide detectors, and proper ventilation. For electricity, you need electricity. On top of this, natural gas starts a flame which heats up a pipe in which water can pass through (for water heaters). For electrical heating you’ll have a stream of water heated up through resistant coils, and that heats the water. Not only do you not need a water heater, but it’s more efficient as the pipes don’t need to be heated, and therefore each guy

They're** 100% cap I've been a plumber for 4+ years in socal no one would sign off on their work unless they tried to circumvent liability, and permits but that would be a handyman NOT a liscensed plumber and putting in a gasline for the whole mansion would be less than 50k of their multi million budget ESPECIALLY if its a new house; a new plumber would not skip gas lines unless they made it fully electric. I've dealt with fully electric homes: they have electric water heaters, & stoves so you could have all the benefits of appliances and hot water without gas if u persist for that option but most. Have gas, water, electricity and drains not just water, electricity and drains
