Fewer and fewer sales of product with fewer and fewer people being interested in them. I should know; I go to the only comic book store left near me regularly and even I don’t usually buy anything from the comic book side of the store. The average comic book customer is in his thirties or older. The only things selling seem to be back issues and omnibuses. As for Star Wars, you fail to notice that they don’t make toys for the new stuff, fewer and fewer kids (the lifeblood of the franchise) are interested in Star Wars, more and more old fans (the people that collected EVERYTHING) are walking away from active participation in the franchise, and fewer and fewer people are watching the shows. That is the definition of a dying franchise. That doesn’t mean that no one is interested in or likes the franchise at all. It means that it is slowly reaching a point where there will be no reason to make new material for the franchise. There a LOT of dead franchises out there that still have fanbases. They’re just not large enough to justify production of new books, movies, shows, etc., especially at the quality level that would make people want to buy them.

My review of the third episode: What an incoherent mess. These witches were expelled from somewhere and almost became extinct until Aniseya used the Force to implant twins in Coril’s womb? Let's ignore the fact that Anakin was unique in this regard and created by the Force itself, and not by the Sith, no one told them that children can be made much easier? If Coryl gave birth to them, why are they human and not zabraks? By the way, the actresses are obviously not twins, but this way you can at least tell them apart... Why do they hunt with a bow and arrow, but at the same time they have electronic doors and children know how to short-circuit wires? Why didn't they delay Ascension until the Jedi left? If you decide to lie that there are no children here, why insert before that “we are not part of the Republic”? Why not take the children to the bedroom where they won’t be seen? Why didn’t Aniseya simply refuse the Jedi to conduct the test, if she so doesn’t want to let Osha go, why hypnosis right away? Do you seriously think that an 8-year-old child should decide his own destiny? Why are you holding a meeting if Aniseya decided for everyone anyway? Osha, do you seriously think the Jedi will believe that you mistook a rabbit for a ship? May, if you don't want to lose your sister, WHY KILL HER? THE OUTCOME IS THE SAME! Why is there a secret hole in the room wide enough for a child? How did the fire engulf the entire stone house so quickly and what exploded there? Why did the rest of the witches die, their bodies unharmed? What was May trying to achieve by grabbing Osha’s hands? How did she survive? Why didn't the Jedi check who was alive? They can't put out fires with the Force like Vader? Overall, May is a stupid bitch who is ready to kill her sister just not to give her to the Jedi, who killed her entire family and blames the Jedi for this. I thought there couldn’t be worse than Reva’s motivation, but they outdid her.

I think the reason why this episode was so bad, it caused everyone to cancel their subscription to Disney Plus is because of how the Lesbians were being portrayed in that episode. I mean their clan leader basically mind f**ked a young Padawan when his master was trying to negotiate with the Witch Clan in letting them take the twins to master their Force powers. That boy didn’t even fight back and yet this Witch Clan Leader is justified in using her powers that almost caused the boy to be in a cationic state.

Jodie Turner talked up her character as a "powerful leader". All the girlboss movies of the past few years are all about showing "strong" or "powerful" women on screen. What they _do_ with that power apparently doesn't matter. The power is the point. Head Lesbian Witch doing that is morally fine because it shows how "powerful" she is. I honestly think that's one reason why people find these girlboss stories so annoying. With male characters what they do is what's important. With the female characters it's who they are. A story about a powerful person being powerful isn't much of a story.
