Disney clearly forgot the Sith Order was in hiding for a thousand years by the time Phantom Menace rolled around because they were quietly harnessing power, resources, and funding while spinning the divergence between the Outer Rim and the Inner Core. The Outer Rim had real grievances that the Sith exploited. Their very methodology of the Banites since Bane has always consisted of operating from the shadows and never revealing their hand. That's why the Jedi had no idea Palpatine was Sidious until it was too late. That's why Maul didn't know about Plagueis still being alive throughout his training. That's also why Vader had no idea Sidious knew about Starkiller until it was too late. It was meant to be a parallel-one that George Lucas deliberately set up with Sith philosophy in mind. Mae should have perished the moment she started going to public's eyes and not even trying her hardest to maintain secrecy.

Yup. Also one simply cannot snap a persons neck to kill him. You need a lot of strength / leverage and it's quite an intricate technique. You have to angle the neck to a certain degree on both the x and y axis and at best you'll sever the spinal cord possibly paralyzing the person but kill.. Nope. I don't like the way they wrote it - it was stupid - Obi-Wan had the time to look at the light saber, think about it, Force pull it, flip over Maul's head...and all that Maul did was look. So, this was stupid (in my point of view) but he basically toyed with Qui-gon and Obi-Wan... Which is not the same as a little girl padawan that until five minutes ago was practicing with a stick wiping the floor with a Sith. The Acodyke is absolute stupid.

It’s easy to miss because the entire episode muddies any sense of time and place, but the reason the bugs didn’t attack during the lightsaber fighting is because the bugs are nowhere near Kalnaca’s house. Osha lures them there in that scene where she tells Yord they need to turn back or Smilo will kill everyone. You see her turn on the droid’s light and point it up into the trees, and then she starts running back. You can hear the bugs making noise and that’s meant to convey she’s luring them back to where the fighting is. It’s still stupid, since the bugs would’ve almost definitely attacked her as she was running back with her light in the air. But even assuming they just slowly followed her all the way back to Kalnaca’s without attacking, the way the episode treats them they essentially just go into a holding pattern the second the light goes off and wait to immediately pounce once the light comes back on. Very obedient killer bugs.

Shows like this make me wonder but have we actually checked that writers can read? I'm seriously starting to suspect that they can't. Mea or May or whatever flipflops on motives between each scene more than a character with schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder. Jecki's death was especially stupid because she saw Smilo Ren draw his hidden light-saber. Instead of naturally being cautious of this new threat, she inexplicably loses all emotional control and charges at him screaming only to be instantly cut down. She had been perfectly composed during their fight up to that point, so WTF? Vader had to get inside Luke's head and prey on his fears to provoke him into a reckless assault, but Jecki just snapped at the worst possible time for absolutely no reason.

This might be a nitpick, but disney seems to think that lightsabers are solid light bars, like they are lego lightsabers that actually glow. Lightsabers should have a white core, surrounded by a halo of color. These lightsabers look wrong.

The very, very stupid decision to bring Force healing into the stories shows how little they really understand Star Wars. If the technique had been around that long and developed to that extent then it nullifies Anakin’s entire arc. It makes his betrayal pointless and meaningless. If Jedi had this power he would have never had any dark side influence on his life. He could’ve saved his mom, Padme, heck Obi-Wan could have saved Qui-Gon. Force healing is a power that should have been something that was acquired after a great deal of trial and tribulation, thus giving it the weight and gravitas such a power and its meaning to the story represents. There have been hints in the Star Wars story that it’s possible to do it, it’s even been hinted that someone powerful enough in the Force could become immortal, but instead of building up towards stuff so monumental, they undercut everything by doing that.

I remember reading the Star Wars Legacy comics Cade Skywalker was born with a similar abilities but it use to bring those back from a brink of death however consequently every time he used it he is falling the dark side. Yeah force healing should be a rare light side ability only for those who trained in healing and doctors it not something to learn just from a book or overnight.

As much as I hate the Acolyte, the armour is in the EU and is called cortosis fibres and blocks lightsabers and also disrupts them.

yeah you wouldn't expect the jedi to also have these types of armors? seeing as they suspected a sith they should have brought other techniques to win that should work against them? even still how do you force a faction into extinction without using cortosis yourself? and if they did where was that advantage here? as if they were fighting an unknown enemy entirely but not really but kindaaaaa....just hamfisted trash if its contextualized.
