And the senior co-worker said he thought the Sequel trilogy was better than the Prequels, just because he didn’t like the latter. To be fair to him though, he called out George Lucas flip-flopping on whether the original EU was canon. It’s just cope, plain and simple. Like RLM back in the day, they made a call that aged really poorly and their egos won’t let them face facts that maybe they were wrong.

Gary, secondhand lions is like forrest gump crossed with Indiana jones. It's great. A troublesome bou goes to live with his grandfather great-uncle who regale him with stories of their adventures circa wwi And he doesn't believe them at first. But in the end their stories start to become more believable as the best explanation of their fortune. Robert Duvall is phenomenal. Look up the bar fight scene with the young guys to get yourself curious

The most satisfying ending would be that Green Bean is made the ultimate villain. Sol confesses, and they agree to save OSHA. Somehow they all end up on the same planet and there is a fight/ confession scene, that ends with Smylo and Sol mortally wounded, but forgiven. Green Bean arrives and covers it up. The sisters fake their death and go into hiding.

@@a_lost_one i don't issues with "The best actor for the job" doing an established performance in a play or musical but have reservations about historical dramas, including sci fi and fantasy. Regarding the first, Murray Head (wyt) was the first guy to sing Judas Iscariot in Jesus Christ Superstar. The guy in the 73 movie musical was blk and that decision can be justified either performatively (he was the best audition) or creatively, with reference to several lines in Heaven on Their Minds that add poignance due to the meta time period and actor's identity, serving to AID the listening experience by drawing attention to the irony of what he was saying. But then in Hamilton Miranda makes George Washington blk for no reason, which really means virtue signaling and being subversive. That's not a valid thing to do. It was clearly not done BECAUSE he was the best singer, even if he had been. If he was played by that actor in a future play but originally cast wyt then different story. If that makes sense.

This episode seemed like a bunch of footage from different versions of the script spliced together. The way for the scene with Torbin getting on the speeder to go normally would be that Sol says "We can't leave the kids with the evil witches," Torbin says "We have the proof, screw you guys I'm going home," then he speeds off and the others chase him to resolve that conflict. Then after they've convinced Torbin to do the right thing in the next scene he and Sol go to the base and climb the wall.
