The way I was taught the operator arm mounts, even with the top brackets

I would use the 3” Stuts on a 18’ because of the span. The sensor looks like the man door is hitting it. The bottom plate bracket when the door is messed up i have some 22ga plate squares that I fasten good to the door then mount the bracket to that. The arm looks good

All good info. The man door won’t open up only a quarter of the way because the concrete is unlevel.

Only thing I'd do differently is add an operator reinforcement bracket to that door. Especially if that was mine. They do cost a little but the top panel folded in half is a far bigger problem.

@@Edward-xj4mp you can make one out of punch angle and use a 1/2 bolt and two nuts

I’m telling ya 16’ is the sweet spot. 18’ always feels wrong out of balance.

Amarr doors are always like that. I have been installing brand new non insulated doors from amarr and they are shit as hell
@affordabledoorgatellc73912 күн бұрын
That’s good to know. Sucks they are that way. They always came in dented and scratched. It was every door. Sure makes it hard on the installers in the field.

@ actually I have many videos doing the same you showed and getting the roller out of track after I installed, I have never seen this with another brand.
