The card doesn’t “suck” but it is mediocre. An Apple ____ sucks video will get views though Apple does seem to attract hate.

This card was the KEY to rebuilding my credit, and they gave me a chance without me having to go get a secured card. So, 2 years later and I started with this card at a 665 score and now I'm at an 825 with a pretty solid profile. The key to this card is that they guarantee your approval and starting limit without a hard pull, than if you freeze your report after the pre approval than you snag it with NO hard inquiry. I am with you tho, much better cards out there.

How is it overpriced when it has no annual fee? This is one of my 18+ products and while it’s not my best earner, there are others that give me a whole lot less.

if you can get it as your first card, it's worth it. I managed to get it as my first card but i don't use it anymore
@daniel.sparksАй бұрын
Yea maybe but I still think you would be better off going with the us bank cash plus secured card as your first. You can get that with any credit score and it’ll always be able to give you value.
@sidewinder3000Ай бұрын
Clickbait headline. Being able to use the Apple Card to finance capital expenses like computers for work or school over 12-24 months, without paying a cent of interest and without jumping through hoops or needing elaborate leasing agreements, is a massive benefit. You obviously know a lot about credit cards, and share a lot of useful information. But you’re clearly using the Apple name to make a hot take and get views. I fell for it, but after watching the video I feel like your assessment wasn’t objective, so you lost me as a viewer.

Apple Card DOES SUCK 2% cash back for use with Apple Pay. 1% Cash Back for physical card swipe. Extremely lousy credit limit increases, it’s a retail card used for Apple Products it’s a trash credit card for everyday use.
@DGreen-124 күн бұрын
I don’t get all the Apple Card hate. I think it’s a solid card for beginners. The vast majority of places in the US accept Apple Pay so the card is basically a 2% catch all. The only place I visit that doesn’t accept Apple Pay is Walmart. Sweeping that cash back into a high yield savings account is really nice (points lose value over time vs cash back gaining value here) and being able to finance Apple purchases at 0% interest is really underrated. As your credit card setup expands this card will likely be used less but it’s still a good option to keep.

Chase is likely to be the new bank of the Apple Card. They will most likely give the card a revamp and give the Apple Card some value since it sat stale for years under Goldman Sachs.

Here is what I just experienced for the first time with my Apple card. I paid off my balance of 1500. Now I have to wait a week for the payment to post. I did some research and people have been complaining about this for a long time. Goldman Sachs customer support is no help. People have said they had to wait upwards of two weeks for payments to post. That’s not good. Off of this experience I would wait until Apple get’s from under Goldman Sachs. Other than that It’s a cool card. I use it mostly for Uber and apple store buying. If you have the Apple savings account the cash back goes directly to that Apple savings account. Small change adds up.

Great job providing an alternative recommendation for the audience! Your recommendation would have been better if you had included the Venture X.

I think this video will attract a more general audience which wouldn’t be able to stomach a 395 af which is why I talked about no af 2% cards

This was my second credit card ever. Would I recommend it to someone? Probably not. But does it give me value? Definitely. Savings account is nice, and easy to use Apple Pay at basically everywhere I’ve ever been outside of Walmart. I think the only thing it truly lacks is no sign up bonus and if you refer friends, they get 75$ but you get nothing. So I will agree in some areas it’s not good, but it’s not bad either. But I will say if I could start over, I probably wouldn’t apply for it especially with everything coming out about GS leaving.

If the card gets 3x UR under Chase, then that is a game-changer that might even get me to switch over to iPhone, and I've been an Android die hard from the start.

I have worked with big banks and no one has the Sercurity that Apple Card has. Very hack proof and no need to file disputes. Then it has a wheel payment that no one has on the market to avoid paying interest. Then your cash rewards go to a high yield interest account to make more money. So yea I think it’s the best card in the market by far and disagree with your observation. FYI - you need a credit score of 700 or higher just to get the card.
@daniel.sparksАй бұрын
Still has mid rewards. Also plenty of people get approved with under 700 credit scores www.reddit.com/r/AppleCard/comments/1cf6kgd/what_credit_score_did_everyone_have_when_they_got/

lol upset because you lacked financial literacy when you got the card so you got burned. It’s a nice compliment to my Citi double cash.
@daniel.sparksАй бұрын
LOL, I'm pre-approved, so I could get this card now if I wanted. Also, the Double Cash doesn't 'complement' the Apple Card at all-they have the same earning categories. That's like saying two left shoes complement each other.
@franciscanstudentАй бұрын
@@daniel.sparks I think you confused "compliment" with "complement."
@tim3172Ай бұрын
@@daniel.sparks Complement != complement. The plural of category is categories. Using an apostrophe to pluralize a noun makes you look *absurdly* illiterate. Preapproved is a word. I hope that helps!
