@jblazerndrowzy Жыл бұрын
@damsen978Hydro doesn’t do it randomly(or maybe it did and I just have awful memory). Even then, the actual reason people didn’t like Hydro because the game mode it’s in is more complex than it should be and stretches on for long periods of time. As someone who played it somewhat often on the Orange Box, the average match on there, although fun, was *stupidly* lengthy, and the map became confusing to move through when you forgot what stage you were on. And then by the time you figure out what’s going on, it’s a stalemate and now it’s time for sudden death. EDIT: It was random according to KZbin vids and the official wiki, so just shit memory

Alrexx' is certainly detailed, but I feel like all that eye-catching, contrasting detail would be a detriment to fun play. Puxorb's map design fits a lot better with the game lore, since the entire series of events in TF2 was kicked off when Redmond and Blutarch Mann inherited a ton of empty wasteland from their father (who died of every illness known to man when travelling to see aforementioned land that the two idiot sons bought) and started fighting over it. In the official lore, it's just because the two of them hate each other and are trying to take all of the land for themselves. The original business plan for the empty desert was gravel mining for weapons manufacturing(?)

@@cloudynguyen6527 The CEO of Mann Co is Saxton Hale, so it's a fair bet to assume the weapons manufacturing takes place in Australia. Control point to payload actually kicks ass as a concept. Its like the mercs had to break in and steal it and now they gotta get it outta there

They all look great but the one that wom makes sense. Looks really gorgeous. Crazy how people gave it all different ideas.

I'm dissapointed that the Half-Life ending with the resonance cascade when you cap the final point didn't win the last point

maybe it's just some good ol 2011 gmod/tf2 nostalgia but there is something so familiar and comfy about turk's submissions.

I’m so disappointed resonance cascade couldn’t be made into a canon TF2 event. Also, I love the concept of hybrid game modes, I want to see more maps like that

Kinda crazy how much some aesthetic touch up could improve an otherwise mostly identical map.

I'm really impressed how much was done in just a week. Even the losers are impressive for the sheer amount of work it took to be done in just a week.

Yoooo, one of PigPig's maps was added? Never knew they experimented with more cool logic! They also made an MvM map called Yiresa - it takes the "multiple possible bomb paths" to the next level with a dedicated Red and Blu part, and both having their own gate. The tank paths also have doors that open as temporary shortcuts - it's a very neat map!

These mappers are crazy talented. I hope their skills make them money cause they definitely deserve it

I'd LOVE to see Lewiin lean even harder into the Half-Life theme by changing the bomb cart to the crystal Gordon has to push into the beam.

The HAlf-Life ending seemed so cool, it made me imagine a tf2 in the black mesa complex, which i think could be a cool idea for a map.

Lol the one I didn’t like the most won. At least the ones that looked like the Badlands, Hydro and Powerhouse are still available in the workshop.

Resonance cascade ending is awesome. HL payload map makes so much sense.

Lewinn is definitely the most faithful to what chat voted for. He kept all the goofy stuff in. It might not be as cohesive but it is my favorite
