@@godsdozer most do, but capitol does this by mail and waits a certain amount of days for a reply before just shipping out the can. 2-3 week delay is possible

​@thevnbastid1027 that's where I am at right now. My form 4 was submitted on a Wed and approved on the following Friday. Following Monday they mailed off the CLEO and that was last Monday. No updates since. With that said they have been beyond helpful during the process and it has been overall a good experience.

I certified on Feb 15th ‘24 and once they had that shutdown, I thought it was over for me. On March 4th ‘24 I received my approval. (Individual) So I came up with 18 days total including weekends and the 2 days of shutdown. My first ever can and I was okay with being pleasantly surprised. I appreciate the follow up video. I wondered but assumed you had been out enjoying the early release of your model prisoner. 🙃

Well, my eForm 4 was sent on April 12 also - and also no word yet. (I did a single shot trust with just my name on the trust) According to Silencer Shop, the mean wait time is about 110 days, which looks like we should see them in the first half of August if they keep the pace up.

I posted an update on the last video so I'll just move it over here: I purchased a Surefire RC3 on a single shot trust thru Silencer Shop on the 21st of feb. Went to my local FFL to certify on March 6th. Went home and got the notification my form 4 was waiting for ATF approval that same day. It is now the 16th of June (day 102) and my form is still pending ATF approval at this time. Will update again when I have been approved.

As an individual submission, I went through the process from beginning to end in under 3 weeks. I shocked my colleagues who were LEOs If you use a Trust, the ATF will have to vet everyone on that trust, so the wait time is longer.

Im new to buying a suppressor! I purchased a suppressor on April 19th from a local dealer and filed as an individual, used the Silencershop kiosk... today "34" days later I got an email stating "Ready to Certify " whatever that means! I think the people who work at the dealer are clueless also, because when I called them like the email says to do, they told me to come pick up my can! But when I there they said they didn't have an email from the ATF yet! So I have no idea what is going at this point! 😐 🤷

I used a kiosk and didn’t have the option for individual. I asked an associate and he told me that I had to have a single shot trust. I did so. Went online to order another from home, purposely left out the trust. Got an email saying my purchase was at a stand still until I bought the trust. So, idk. I have bought 7 cans in the last month, filed as individual. Slowest turnaround 3 days, fastest 1 day 14 hours. The other key is that your background check needs to be squeaky clean, and you usually need to have a somewhat unique name. Anything questionable, and you dont get the quick turnaround. 😊

I call bullshit in the 1 week individual as well. I’m sure they were getting approved fast but now everyone and their dogs are getting them and bogging down the system again. I certified for my 3rd can on April 22nd, still waiting. I’m glad everyone is finally buying cans, but I think it’s slowing down my approval, lol. We will see how long it takes.
