Hi Karl - Really useful video and first of all thank you for your and your team`s service! I am currently in Japan and moving to Australia via an internal company transfer with the TSS 482 Short term Visa. While i have been thinking that Short term visa do not have pathway to PR (aside the recent July 1,2022 change for certain people who were in AU) you mentioned around time 2:42 in the video that short term visa also has pathway to PR under certain conditions. I checked the video you suggested at that point but could not find relevant information. So is it true that TSS 482 short term visa also has a pathway to PR under certain conditions ?

Yes it is but those conditions are complex as you still need to meet the 186 TRT Stream rules which are too many to cover here. You also would need to meet those basic requirements for 482 Short Stream visa holders as well. Please book a time if you need assistance.

Everything is taking longer these days. You can expect 3 months at least for tourist 600 depending upon your country of residence. Best of luck but it will get processed.

hello Carl...thanks for the info.....right now I am at 85 points offshore in mechanical engineering...age 34, btech 2011 pass out, 8 yrs rel exp, ....EOI submitted in SA since 2 years approx....what are the chances in upcoming July as per new quota....these are maximum scores being an offshore....further if I want to improve, I have to take admission in masters course in Australia.....my question is is it recommended , will onshore status have some good effect on my application?.... your feedback will be much appreciated...also, if yes for further study, is it good to take admission in 2 yrs master course in one stream or 1 master each year (2 masters degree) in 2 years?
