I use to sing this to my baby girl .. now she has a baby girl of her own .. time flies by so quickly. Music is a healer, and if you’re in a bad place right now, please know that you are loved and it will get better ..I promise you. I promise ..

My goodness that voice. Totally a surprise. It is as though someone mixes chocolate cake, a bar of gold, pure hopes and dreams, and small children's imaginations and stuck them in a blender then poured it down my ears!!

Older bands will forever be remembered and listened to due to their popularity, (because they wrote good music) for example The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Artists like the Avett Brothers will be remembered not because of their immense worldwide popularity like Lil Wayne, but for the amazing music they wrote and the souls they touched with love and honesty. What the Avett Brothers have to offer is so rare today. I hope everyone lives long enough to hear their music.

It’s just the witnessing of somebody putting their full heart and soul into a piece of music. Not only in the deep meaning of the lyrics they have written but performing the piece with so much of themselves that a listener feels impacted at a personal level. That’s what I think, anyways. Will forever be an Avett Brothers fan!

I have only seen them like this in the video, but never again. For some reason, I could not tell them apart, most likely because of the beards. For me, this was like a performance from an alternate universe in a dark place that somehow appeared here; is it kind of hunting and good.

This album shows us how truly amazing and talented the Avett Brothers are. This live performance sounds almost exactly like the album version, which means they just sat down and recorded an album that is good. They just write good songs. They don't need a shit ton of effects or anything to help make them sound better. They already do.

Moving sir...The Avett's are truly a magical band if you find them with someone you love, or at least introduce them to someone you love. No better music for layin around in a pile of love. We all miss someone brother, and somewhere, someone is missing you.

I think the sound quality is perfect. If you close your eyes and let yourself go for a minute, you almost feel like you're in the same room, and you don't want to talk for fear of disturbing the performance. So intimate and gentle. I hope my brother and I can make music like this some day.

Haven't watched this video in nearly 3 years. Overwhelmed with emotions and astonished at what's become of my wife and I. From bonding over the tenderness and vulnerability of this gorgeous song and vid to not speaking to each other in months yet still married so that she may have insurance. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world. So love fiercely and take a moment to reflect on how good you have it because some day it can all be gone

I did! It was amazing. I saw them in Santa Barbara, CA but I want to see them somewhere in the south or just closer to their home, or at an outdoor venue during the day.
