Cool lil car, reminds me of the historical vehicle races at Monterrey raceway. They used to make all kinds of small displacement cars back around the turn of the century. It always warms my heart to see them alive again cuz as my dad would say (cars/bikes) no matter how old, were built to be run.

Been waiting patiently Matt, thank you, perfect timing. Dale's smiling brother, make no mistake. 🙏🙏🙏 Acetone / ATF has always been my go-to for the impossible relic rusties. I had a engine not long ago that required a special puller configuration to get the cylinder off. Turn the puller bolt a 1/16 of a turn each morning for 2 weeks, a fresh dose of my rust release, and 1 morning she just gave up the ghost.

Remarkable details! Cycle cars of that time were mostly quite primitive and odd-looking, as far as I know, especially in Europe, but this is a true piece of art. Wow! Add the great story of how you woke up the engine - well, I'm stoked.

So what you're saying is that whoever built this had to have had not only just a shop, they would've had to have had a foundry to be able to cast the engine and trans cradle and other parts of the chassis. Absolutely amazing dedication and craftsmanship in producing this little road machine. Unbelievable! Think how it would run if you could cushion the engine mounts.!!! 🤤

The castings are unique but not uncommon. There was a gentleman here in Traverse City, Michigan that made all of his own wood patterns and then took them down to the local foundry and had them cast. He then machined them and assembled his own machines: Metal Lathe, band saw, table saw and joiner. After he passed the tools were donated to the Antique Steam Club at Buckley, Mi where they are on display in the woodworking pavilion.

At the beginning of the video when you said it was a Chrysler, I immediately wondered if the frame rails were wood. I remember learning some place that Chrysler used wood rails for a long time. The coolness factor on that little car is a +10. What you need to answer the questions about the mount plates is an old gear head, those guys knew everything. I had a gear head who told me that they used to bolt model T transmissions back to back for more gearing. (At least I think it was T transmissions. Been so long I'm not sure, but I thought it was pretty cool.) That's what Hot Rodding was all about, go to the wrecking yard and scrounge around and see what fits. I'm in Oregon, but I could see taking a trip there just to see the car. Thanks for sharing, your channel is awesome! When are you going to do a show about that North Africa bike? Later.
