He also did the blindfold chess thing while driving, but gave me the benefit of a little magnetic board. Would play the Grob or the creepy-crawly every time and utterly destroy me.

I'm so intrigued by this series. I just got into it. Saw the first part. I'm no grandmaster. I liked to play when I was younger but it makes me laugh a little inside. I started playing this opening a few years ago. 50/50 for me. Sometimes I get both rooks out. :)

It looks like the principle here is: A well placed bishop (that the opponent has lost) in the beginning is worth more than a rook in the endgame - because the extra bishop is more than enough to win the game BEFORE ever getting to an endgame. I wonder if anyone has gone on to get into an endgame with this opening and still won the game?!

@@cthingumagog Yes but the pawn still isn't hanging by definition because the knight is there. Black can opt to trade knights and white would be up a pawn, but that's not the same as a hanging piece.

If a pawn or piece is attacked twice but only defended once, by definition, it is hanging.

A GM created a second titled account that only played this opening. He played and beat Daniel Naroditsky several times and Fairplay flagged him for cheating. Guy defends his account and seems legit. It’s not a bad opening as it can cause some irregularities in popular openings IMO.
