Are you going for a Street Rod tag? I’m in DE also and coincidentally have a SBC Regal that I’d like to get tagged for the street, but it’s got no emissions stuff on it at all. Does have functioning lights, horn and wipers, and I’m planning a full exhaust. What do you think?

Observation, Suggestion. Careful when flailing the ratchet, extension and socket so close to the windshield. I watched a buddy of mine do that while telling me something and the socket came off and cracked the shit outta his. He was pissed at himself. Only reason I say anything us cause i saw it happen before. Keep Grindin Matt 😎

@DNRAuto Yep its just one of those trade off type of things. You know it doesn't have the power to annihilate them starting in 2nd but you know the risks of starting in 1st. Wouldn't be so bad if it had a converter and good cam to keep it in the powerband while shifting so it doesn't bog down and potentially gain traction and screw the pooch.

@@daltondavis0668 I think now that it’s got the new carb, and I make a timing adjustment it SHOULD be fine on the 1-2 shift while spinning. That other carb was dumping so much fuel damn thing was choking on itself

Get the fuel pump 9n the same circuit as right before the start position. Get the fuel pump off the accessories. That's your answer. Bottom line bro. Bro. Bro.

For future reference. Parts of the fuse panel, panels stay hot all the time. Headlight,tail light,brake light, lighters even sometime. But never a fuel pump. Was just letting you know even if it was a brand new car. Electric fuel pumps carburetor or fuel injection of any kind are never hot till the last key position right before start position.
