This movie is my favorite iteration of Batman. He's actually being a detective for once. And honestly I think this batmobile is cool af. The romance was played right too. I want more of the Batman. I want the DCU to be this.

It would be hard to capture this type of magic in other characters unless Matt Reeves directs every film. They can't do what Marvel has been doing since 2008, but this universe solely focused on Batman is more than enough. Can't wait to see what's next.

This is an interesting take on the character, I assumed the disfigurement would be from chemical burns but he's saying he was born this way which actually makes him darker and more sinister than possibly most versions of Joker. If this is the style Matt enjoys going with I do hope we get to see Scarface/Ventriloquist in a film, even if they are just in one scene getting beat up or something I think Matt could find a way do it with how out of the box and daring his style is. Also, when I say daring I mean not mainstream where everyone has to look pretty and flawless for the camera.

Completely changed my perspective on this version of Joker. Conceptually, this is at least as strong as what Nolan put together. But, I'd say the performance needs some work. Based on what Reeves talked about, I feel like this Joker's power won't be in how he behaves, but in how he doesn't, if that makes any sense. A person who's all but weaponized the fact people are uncomfortable looking at him should be a little less random and crazy, and a little more deliberate and still.

thats what always make the Joker versus Batman conflict so deep and interesting its because they are both lost souls, they are both tortured souls, holding on a lot of deep pain, and they are just 2 sides of the same coin..... it always feels like Batman, Bruce Wayne has to work hard to contain that darkness... to contain the Joker inside of him.... while the joker gets to be free and embrace the chaos and the animal instincts and the darkness and madness. Which like I said.... its all already contained inside Batman. I'm so glad Matt Reeves gets that notion, that profound concept.

I hope you guys put Clayface in one of these films. He is so far a villain that has never made it into Batman cinema. I think the character could be really done in a cool experimental way.

nice one . the truth is that the trilogy brought batman back , as for the joker ... for me is hard someone to b better than heath or the dramatic side that joakin gave. altho its time to see more villains that havent been seen .that can really lvl up this project

Now that i think about it ,His hair is messed up. But I think that hair cut actually looks like a green spiked crown /the top head- tails of a jester costume ,in his head. Maybe as a visual clue to his nickname "clown prince of crime".

It’s fine as a deleted scene and an extra peek at this Joker, but it’s a little weird to me to see all these comments talking about how this is some sort of brilliant masterpiece of a scene. I’m not really even too sure that I really like this Joker-his mannerisms or his voice. I’d have to see more of him I guess. The scene is an obvious Silence of the Lambs tribute, which is nice, great movie. I love Batman, again the scene is fine. And even Reeves’ Batman world is not what I’d call a masterpiece like so many commenters are saying. I think it was a solid first movie. I guess the next one will really show how well his vision works. It’s all just opinion, I don’t mean to sound like I’m declaring the truth from on high.

Kind of annoying that the commentary is apparently an iTunes exclusive. I think if you're paying for thr blu-ray or certainly the 4K physical release, it should really be on there.

This is a mistake. Should merge with the joker instead and use Joaquin Pheonix.

This is the best film based on a comic character of all time. It has a great story that isn't as convoluted as the Nolan trilogy stories. The characters are exceptional depictions of some of the most famous heros and villians. Gotham City is amazing and a character in its own right. Wow...just wow. But this is the Joker deleted scene here. And this is the best scene between these two iconic characters we've ever had in live action. 1 on 1. Stellar... stellar performances. This is what I and apparently 10s of millions also want for the current depiction of the caped crusader and his rouges gallery. The performance turned in here for the Joker was mesmerizing. I hope...no I pray we get much more of this and build out his world more in the next film(s).

Frankly, I think it would be unwise to use the Joker in this iteration of Batman. Heath and now Joaquin have cast a very big shadow over anyone else doing the role. Using him in a small way like this is fine, but using him as a primary villain will invite undue comparisons.
