HEADS HANDS and FEET is one of the bands that 'spoiled' me in my youth. This British band was overlooked by many in the US back in the day, but once you give them a listen, trust me, you will want to keep this great music alive and share it with your fans! Their first double-album from 1971, is loaded with amazing cuts; superb guitar licks, beautiful harmonies, and haunting lyrics, with a bit of country flavor, even some cow-bell! In fact the album features the original 'Country Boy' written by them. Start with these cuts and then start a playlist if you're convinced. But please don't bother with live performances. They just pale compared with these masterfully produced studio cuts. >Song for Suzie: (Contains a legendary guitar solo by Albert Lee) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZeYcmWke81-bpI >>I Wish You Knew Me: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2iyqWulj7WEaZI >>>Look At The World It's Changing/You Because You Know Me: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqXOiIetgrmAn8U >>>>Country Boy: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnjdnqathLaKsJo I will keep reminding you until you get the message.

I would give the world for someone with your heart, Your thoughts, your feelings, and your absolute unbiased love for people! I'm a Spiritualist and very in tune to emotions, I see emotionless people walking day to day, not even knowing what they lack. There is a video by Sturgil Simpson, All Around You. I feel like the little girl that goes around witnessing all the hate people harbor, and the hate in the world, but she puts on her cape and flies around smashing all the hate with a big Golden Heart, that she found in the sand, the compass that briefly appeared on it, showed her the way. Where have all the hearts of gold gone? Let it be known, you are one! And your wife is blessed, as are you because I can only see you with someone VERY special♥️

Hey sweetie, I looked up the story behind this song and this is what I found. For me, this song has always choked me up and put a tear in my eye. Now that I’ve read the history of the song, I think I will always cry when I hear it. ‘This song is about someone who has done or said something horribly wrong, which resulted in alienating everyone around him. It's a great example of lyrical songwriting, and very much a love-it-or-hate-it song. With the opening line, "I started a joke, which started the whole world crying," followed with "I started to cry, which set the whole world laughing," the song can be heard as achingly poignant or overly sentimental, depending on your mindset.” “Robin Gibb's son played this song just after his father died from kidney failure on May 20, 2012. Robin-John Gibb told The Sun: "When he passed away we went out, they took the equipment away and we came back in. I picked up my phone and found 'I Started A Joke' on KZbin and played it. I put the phone on his chest and that was the first time I broke down. I knew that song and its lyrics were perfect for that moment. That song will always have new meaning to me now."

Wow, what an amazing and moving story. Thank you for taking time to share it here. I've always thought of this song as very special, and uniquely Robin Gibb. His son's actions that poignant day make it even more so in my mind. No other artist could ever do 'I Started a Joke' the same justice that Robin did. His voice gave it such emotion. He owned it - and always will. God bless Robin and his incredible, beautiful talent.

That is the beautiful Soulful voices of black Vocalists. It’s a huge loss to the world. I just earlier, listened to Ella on a Ed Sullivan video. Now Al. I Miss their voices and talents. So many women, and Brook, Sam, Al, Otis, Marvin, and all I cannot write down. Rap was the Worst thing that happened to destroy the music industry and life fulfillment of success for God knows how many. And we lost out, not hearing voices like this anymore. Thanks for letting me know about Al’s version. He really did put his heart and Soul, into his rendition.

Thank you doing "I Started a Joke." It is a personal favorite. Robin (here) and Barry would compete to be the lead singer of the group. This friction came to a head after they made the beautiful "Odessa" album. Barry wanted his song to be the first released and Robin wanted his instead. Barry won and Robin's song was the "B" side if I remember correctly. I think that the songs were "First of May" (Barry) and "Lamplight" (Robin). Robing split from the group for about 18 months. They came back together stronger than ever. I personally think that "Odessa" marked the end of their first incarnation. The second incarnation began withe the album "Two Years On" (first after the reunion) and went through "Mr. Natural." They reinvented themselves a second time for the disco era with the album "Main Course." In 1981 the Bee Gees emerged with a new sound, their 4th, with the album "Living Eyes." It was a more adult contemporary sound. The tweaked that sound for the next 20 years. Try their hit song "One" from 1989 sometime. Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYO4loCdr7R2edE

Robin leads a lot of their songs. He also had a solo career when the group had broken up for a time. "Massachussets"and "Bodyguard" are two of my personal favorites. that they did live in concert.Whenever he steps out to sing the audience goes crazy. His voice is soft as cotton with a natural vibratto .So good

"Morning of my Life" is utterly gorgeous. Reggae King John Holt did a great cover. Also, "Words" which my stepdad sang to my mum to get her to marry him. He had a wonderful voice. She said yes and they are still together 47 years later. He's a wonderful man.

I always felt Robin Gibb was the quiet one of the Bee Gees, he always seemed to allow his brothers to do the shining front stage things while he was in the background. Yes this shows his wonderful voice, also Massachusetts which also shows his vocal abilities, RIP Robin and Maurice, they left a library full of brilliant songs for us to live with. Keep Safe Keep Strong

When I heard this song waaaay back then, I was 13 and always a very emotional reactor to beautiful songs. This one always made me cry. Thanks for bringing it back!! Interesting fact: The Bee Gees didn't start out singing in that high falsetto. It came about by accident when Barry was playing around with different vocalizations thanks to their producer's suggestions. The others quickly found that it was going to be perfect for their signature sound. And as we all know, the rest is history.
