I only discovered the Bee Gees at abut 10 years old, in 1975 with "Nights On Broadway", and I loved it. ( Not just because it's a great song, but I look forward to the Robin solo...such a unique voice.) Then, like you said, disco hit, and I still loved them, but thanks to KZbin, I have discovered their older stuff, and they're my favorite Bee Gee's songs. (Along with "Alone", which is one of my favorites. Much like Nights On Broadway, there is the Robin solo that I look forward to.)

See, I always thought I was unique in loving Robin's voice. I felt that Barry was more their "lead" singer, and that's who most people probably preferred. I love Barry's voice, regular, or falsetto. (Preferably regular). Anyways, I've always felt that Robin's voice, even though always on pitch, had an odd sound, almost like he was singing into a can. That may sound negative, but it's not. It's what made it so compelling, and so unique. I've always loved it. I just didn't realize that I wasn't the only one.

@@loobyloo1955 - Canadian here but spent a lot of time in the UK, mostly Warwick, Coventry and Liverpool. I share the twins birthday in 1949. Robin had such character. He wasn't a heartthrob when he was young (more of a cute puppy dog) but I think he was HOT when he hit his mid 20's and onward. You never knew which Robin would show up, hair colour or mood, LOL. His intelligence, eccentricity and wit were SO attractive. A mysterious and complicated guy and who doesn't like mystery? Add to that the voice of an angel, the lips, the eyes, etc., etc., etc.! What part of London? I stayed with relatives in Hampstead Heath way back in the late 60's. As Samuel Pepys said, "When you tire of London you tire of life". One of the all time great groups. Also they wrote lots of hits for other artists as well.🇬🇧👍

Groundbreaking. Everyone has passed away except Barry (I think). I hope Barry is still with us...I honestly don't know. I've been listening to them since I was 12. I'm 66 now and they bring back great memories of a special time.

Diese Stimmen sind der absolute Wahnsinn. Ich kriege immer eine Gänsehaut, wenn ich diese alten Songs höre. Sie sind Teil meiner Jugend gewesen...
